"It isn't so bad," Natalia smiled, kneeling down before the plants and placing her basket beside her. She found she could get more leverage this way without overworking her back. "But I admit that I've never worked on a farm before. I've never taken for granted the hard work that goes into tending crops, but I can certainly say that I can better appreciate it."

She wrapped her fingers around the base of a leafy plant and leaned back, popping it up out of the dirt. She shook the clumps of mud from the roots before laying the greens neatly in her basket.
