Ira wasn't a member, but he'd been invited by Saori to join in on the meeting after his shadow confrontation (admittedly, with the promise of free food). Thus he did his best to stay on his "best" behavior, which really wasn't much different than the facade he used all that time ago, in the old Alliance meetings. At least it didn't include outright lies or twisted truths. Just trying not to start throwing shade at a certain member who had yet to speak up.
