Rukia's words stung. Selphie can understand that train of thought, she has friends who think like this. Duty is everything and they're unwilling to adapt. It's the opposite of water being thrown on a stone to Selphie. If one doesn't learn to adapt to the changes then how can they move forward. Her arms folded across her chest as she wrestled with her hurt feelings.
"How can you say that? We don't know what's gonna happen between here and whenever we all go marching off to deal with Garland and the calamity itself. For all you know those rifts might stay open and then we could see each other whenever we wanted. I don't want our friendship to end just because we saved this world."
