Lust remained oddly silent. Some of the weariness from her own confrontation still lingered, but that wasn't the cause of her reticence. She kept her thoughts to herself for now, loosely holding her elbows, watching the scene play before her.

She exhaled, closing her eyes. If Mikleo hadn't expressly asked her to come, she wouldn't have shown up at all. But if he truly wanted her there to keep him in check should things go awry, so be it. But she was confident he could handle this with ease. The boy was honest and humble, it was hard to imagine him rejecting whatever it was his whimpering shadow had to say.

When she lifted her head she fixed her gaze on Mikleo's face, silently inquiring with a raised eyebrow. If he'd changed his mind about wanting them there, he only had to say the word and she'd bow out.
