"Well..." He rubbed the back of his head. "There's fighting with a plan, or resting with other Heroes. I mean, even I had trouble getting used to this world when I first came here. There was only one city left by the time I was born, and that was built by soldiers who invaded the Nowhere Islands. Seeing so many people in one place...I could hardly believe what I was seeing."

It wasn't the same as descending from baroness to confused outsider, but Crystallis was very different from anything.

"But I got used to it. I had to appreciate being alive. Besides," he offered Tazendra a smile. "You're royalty, and royalty are supposed to be strong enough to protect the people. I think you've got that down perfectly. You don't have to worry about making up for that."
