Keeping the angry Warrior at bay has become Sephiroth's primary goal in this fight it seems, even if he does feel as though he's somewhat falling short of his role as Paladin. He came into this to take that tank-role in which his custom-job given abilities should supplement. Yet others are clearly getting hurt while he's playing with just one of the Knights.

He heard Jack's cry out -had to be another Hero of Light down- but Sir Lamorak is proving just enough of a challenge that Sephiroth finds himself fighting the knight with a great deal of his attention; the Camoflage hadn't helped before and now there was likely a bit of a distance between the two of them, and the engagement between others. Uncomfortable at the least, and then Lamorak unleashes that Assault. A seasoned Warrior himself, Sephiroth knows well the sacrifice of self-control the Knight had just cast off.

This was his chance to remove that piece from the board, so to speak.

ShinRa Guard renews Protect and Shell as soon as Sephiroth spots the tell-tale Assault being cast by his opponent. He also takes the opportunity to turn himself in their combat stance, so that the next Berserk-charged chain of attacks from Lamorak will lead them backwards, closer towards the rest of the Heroes.

Sephiroth remains heavily on the defensive, focused intently on any opening that Sir Lamorak might leave open in his rage, ready to quickly insert Masamune's thin blade and capitalize any mistake to it's fullest. Any buff in his direction, or status ailment on Sir Lamorak might be useful at this point.
