[The mist dissipates, leaving the battleground in clear view once more. The first thing Cloud sees is Sir Kay and his steed, charging straight at him in a Choco Assault. Gawain dual-casts Watera, then Thundara at the charging Sparks Nevada, taking advantage of the residual water's conductivity to strengthen the second spell.
The Melodies of Life cast by Chiaki and Sparks hit Arthur and the knight standing beside him, Gareth, in its radius. Gareth's Perfect Counter activates and he strikes both of them, one after another, with a doubly-strong punch. Cloud's missiles are also met with a counter attack. After these attacks, Gareth Boosts himself, getting ready for something big next turn.
Tsubomi's plunders hit Tristan, but the Master Thief's agility proves too much for her to reclaim the sword. She comes away with a scrap of paper, a ticket to the original production of "I Want to Be Your Moogle". Tristan smirks at her as he responds to her attempt with Life Thief, boosted by his Burgle and Buff ability. Ramza's rock hits while he gloats, though, and sends him flying across the floor with its force. Tristan and the other knights have a moment of pure disbelief that that worked.
Geraint points his spear downward as the moogle's Thundaras strike. The metal rod acts like a lightning rod, and when Geraint lets it drop, it guides the electricity down with it, towards Mikleo. Mikleo's Blizzaga hits him and freezes his legs. When he lands on the water seraph, he does so gracelessly, and both knight and his target take damage. The landing does at least shatter the ice crusting his armor, allowing him to snatch his spear back up and stumble away.
Gaheris takes aim at the air above his king, waiting for the moment his target will be at that exact spot. When Jack comes down above Arthur, he will take a Heavy Shot. It's a killing blow, though perhaps not instant. Jack will likely be able to finish his attack before succumbing.
Bedivere summons a Clone. One Bedivere immediately disappears, and the other moves to join his brethren in front of king. The Bedivere in hiding hurls a dagger at Tear, while the other stands still and vigilant.
Bors finally raises his head from the rubble pile he landed in. Still far from the battle and out of range for both receiving and doling out attacks, he casts Focus to reorient himself. Maybe next turn, he will feel up to actually moving.
Arthur aims an Excalibur at Jade, whom he assesses as the chief strategist of the bunch, likely killing him. The counter morphs from 4 to 3.
