Having executed his chain of latest attacks at Arthur's side, yet seemingly not clipped Gareth and therefore no Perfect Counter was shot back at him; Jade had gotten that right on the money and as Sephiroth held back in his assault enough to register the counters go off towards the other Heroes suddenly there seemed a perfect opportunity for a Paladin skill, finally.

Sentinel would not only boost Sephiroth's already mitigated defense but paired with Tear's Symphony of Love, it might help him to absorb damage on behalf of those allies already within melee range of the King and those knights shielding him. Tanking was a new approach for him, however, it might well not work all as well as that.

Just as Sephiroth were about to launch another attack, pulling whatever energy he could into adding the Deathblow effect to his sword once more, Arthur made his next move. The silver haired warrior didn't feel like he needed to look who that attack had been aimed at, having dashed in from that direction only moments ago. He essentially leapt into another Dash to put himself in the way of it and Jade.

"No-"

With an accompanying grunt, Masamune curled in and up at the last possible moment as if he might deflect that Excalibur strike away, spreading his stance strongly as if his strength alone might be enough to halt one of the most powerful attacks in the arsenal of the Warrior-job.

It certainly was time to see how strong his Paladin-defense really was.
