Summary: It's time for Cuppa Kupo's first annual Christmas Party! The party details are in an OOC post here and an IC post .

[It's the 23rd of December, and, as promised, Kuppa Cupo has opened its doors for the first (and hopefully not last) Christmas/Starlight party!]

[The entire restaurant is decorated for the season, complete with a large tree near the entrance. The ceiling is covered in lights, and the tables all have matching red and green tablecloths. Near the wall, the catering table is packed with food.]

[Even the helper moogles are taking part in the festivities, with many of them wearing elf or santa costumes. Whether you came early to help set up, or arrived fashionably late, enjoy!]

Wh-Whoaaaa!!!!

[ Someone accidentally tipped himself over accidentally as he was trying to put the wreaths onto the door. Talk about being too short for this kind of labor but he didn't expect to lose his balance while trying to seriously look for a way to hang the wreaths nicely.

Whoever was at the bottom probably just got squished by Mikleo.... oops. ]

[Mikleo, do you see your boss sprawled out underneath you being squished like a pancake?

She's tapping his arm to get off her in a hurry.]

Get. Off!

[ Jeez, of course she had to be the one that ended up there when he fell. Mikleo quickly pushes himself away from her as he pulled himself back together. ]

S-Selphie? Are you alright?

[ He gave her an apologetic look. ]

[boomchucka]

[Once Selphie gets her wind back, she'll be sitting up and pouting at Mikleo as her arms fold across her chest.]

I'll live but now you can never use the sword flinging incident against me ever again.

[She's just going to sit on the floor like a little kid and pout until she gets her way.]

[ Mikleo gives her a hand as she pouts at him. It wasn't like he was intentionally doing it. He felt bad now. ]

This and that are two separate situations, Selphie. Honestly, what reason would I bring that up?

[ He put his hands on his waist as he sighs. ]

[Because Selphie was thinking of another person who is diligently cooking away in the kitchen when she said that. She pulls herself up and quickly dusts herself off as she inspects his handy work and shakes her head.]

More importantly.

[At this point in time, Selphie enters Mikleo's personal space and looks up at him with a worried frown.]

We have step stools in the back to prevent these types of accidents from happening. You could've been hurt worse than our combined wounded pride.

[She pokes him hard in the chest. She doesn't like it when people get hurt and it makes her worry.]

I would've been worried, y'know! It's supposed to be a really great time of the year and it would've sucked if you had to spend any part of it injured. So next time, use the step stool.

[ Mikleo is not that person. He's much nicer and more respectful than that vagabond!!! played by the same dorky mun of course!!! ]

Were you? Who on earth would do something like that?

[ He cranes his neck at her as she starts again. He looked at her with his brows brielfy furrowed as she got into his personal space. ]

I was using the ladder Selphie.

[ He pointed to the tipped ladder that didn't fall on either of them when he slipped. ]

I suppose I didn't realize the spacing between my footing and one of the ladder steps were off so I fell.

[ The water seraph explains with a brief "oof" when she jabs his chest. ]

S-Sorry. It wasn't intentional. Plus, I'm fine, see? I can also heal my own injuries if I need to-- but thanks. I'll try to be more careful next time.

[There's the briefest starting of a pout as Selphie crosses her arms and taps her foot a little bit as she peers over at the ladder in the background. It didn't look like a ladder that was supposed to used inside but rather one that was meant for outdoor work.

She frowns a little bit before sighing.]

Y'know... a step ladder would've been sturdier and I'm pretty sure we have one in the back.

[If she could cast a spell to scan the water seraph for injuries, she'd be a little more relieved but she'll take him at his word.]

Lemme help you with the rest. How many do you have left?

[She shrugs her shoulders in response to who would pick on Selphie about her being a clumsy little thing in the end.]

As for who would do such a thing it's someone who seems to have taken the big brother role to heart in recent months. It's okay. If he gets out of line, I'll kick his butt.

[Or she'd try to anyway.]

[ He was testing it really to see if it would work well in here, but it didn't seem that way. Unfortunately, it was tall and that was what he was looking for. Somehow it didn't work in his favor but his experiments at least provided results. ]

I didn't see any that were as long as this one but you're right it's not made to be used inside.

[ He goes right into speculating about it all instead. ]

A handful so it's not too bad but alright.

[ He nods with a smile. ]

I see. Perhaps he's just concerned abut your well being is all?

[ He kept the other comment about her being violent to himself since he'd rather not get kicked. All his female friends were quite violent. ]

[Selphie's all for healthy hypothesis exploration but not when people can get seriously hurt. She shakes her head a bit before tapping her chin thoughtfully.]

So we find a bigger step ladder than the one we currently have. Or maybe we need an extendable hook of some sort? Man, now you've got me wanting to find out.

In the meantime... [Selphie scoops up the remaining wreaths and hands one to Mikleo.]

Hmmmm... more than likely. It's not a bad thing. Sorry for always being a pain in the butt.

[If any such comments come up, Selphie will be extra careful to extra non-violent when she shoves a certain water seraph out into the closest snowbank then. :D]

Maybe. I think we can make do with the ladder for now if you don't mind holding it, Selphie.

[ He's not ready for her outrageous ideas right now. Honestly, it's probably more dangerous than his maneuvers. ]

You aren't so don't worry about it Selphie. Let's finish up before the guests arrive.

[she wasn't expecting this at all, and she yelps, trying to support him for a few moments before buckling. At least it's an easier collapse?]

What happened…? Are you all right?

S-Sorry!!

[ Mikleo quickly rolls away as he heard the yelp. It's convenient to have someone cushion his fall but Mikleo felt bad about getting them possibly hurt. He pulled himself up to his feet before extending a hand to her. ]

I slipped on the ladder by mistake. I hope you're alright. I'm fine.

she's had worse

but that doesn't mean it's fun.

She reaches out to take his hand, using it to help herself up.]

That's good to here. [she checks herself over for a moment, and nods] I'm fine as well. Did you need any help with the ladder, then?

[ Whether she's experienced in a situation worse than this didn't mean that it wasn't bad. Mikleo felt terrible for falling on her like that. ]

Uh-- Yeah, that might be a good idea. It's not as stable sometimes but it's higher than the step ladder.

[ He nods. ]

You could try borrowing someone's shoulders, but that might not be much steadier.

[she smiles, ears lifting.]

You're welcome. I'll just need to hold it steady, yes?

[ He appreciates the kindness. ]

I don't know if that is a safe way to carry someone. It might be even more dangerous than the ladder now that I think about it.

[ He ponders for a moment at her suggestion before deciding otherwise. ]

Yes. If you do not mind.

The ladder it is to be, then! [she goes to take hold of it, and nods to him.] When you're ready.

Thank you for your assistance. I'm Mikleo. What's your name?

[ He muses in a friendly manner as he gestures the ladder towards the center of the room. There were small thing and he was extremely grateful for her assistance. ]

Glad to help. [she nods, following him.] K'pandolu Tohka. It's good to meet you, Mikleo.

All right. Let's just hold that, now…

[she reaches out to help steady the ladder, and nods to him.] Let's see how it does now.

Pleased to meet you and yeah that's fine.

[ He nodded his as she held it down. He moved to grab the fallen decoration and some pins. He then continued to pin them until they looked decent and he looked down at her. ]

It's much more table now. Thank you. What do you think?

[She looks up at the decorations and nods, smiling.]

They're looking nice! Very festive. So- where else do we need to set them up?

I'm glad that it does.

[ He replied with a small laugh to her comment. ]

There's some by the doorway to the kitchen that we need and the center of the room.

The doorway and the center… All right. The center might give us a little more trouble- should we do that first, or second?

I think that's a good idea.

[ He replied with a nod. ]

Let's start with the center and make our way down if that works?
