Summary: It's time for Cuppa Kupo's first annual Christmas Party! The party details are in an OOC post here and an IC post .

[It's the 23rd of December, and, as promised, Kuppa Cupo has opened its doors for the first (and hopefully not last) Christmas/Starlight party!]

[The entire restaurant is decorated for the season, complete with a large tree near the entrance. The ceiling is covered in lights, and the tables all have matching red and green tablecloths. Near the wall, the catering table is packed with food.]

[Even the helper moogles are taking part in the festivities, with many of them wearing elf or santa costumes. Whether you came early to help set up, or arrived fashionably late, enjoy!]

So here you are! I wondered why I couldn't find you at home.

[She'll gladly take one of the appetizers as long as he's offering. And he's crazy, nothing like that ever happened last year.]

I was going to ask you the same. Anise chose a good place to throw a party. When do you stop serving?

[After all, she wouldn't want to bother him with socializing while he's busy working.]

Forgot to write a note didn't I?

[ He replied thinking for a moment before continuing to speak to her as she ate happily. ]

She did. I figured I'd help the little champ out. I can be off whenever since my main priority was getting food made to serve.

[ He pointed to the kitchen as he said that. ]

YO!

I'll lend you a hand, then. The sooner you're finished with your duties, the sooner you can relax and enjoy the party, right?

[She polishes off the appetizer, politely using a napkin to clean her hands. The Kuchiki family didn't raise her to lick her fingers like a dirty commoner.]

...Did you bring Repede this year, or is he at home?

I'm not the party type of guy so it doesn't bother me if I keep going.

[ He replied to her honestly as she suggested. She really did seem to have been raised well despite her random outbursts but it was the surprising things about Rukia that was fun to him. ]

He's got candy canes in a bag on his back. He's making his rounds. I'm sure you'll find him. He has the Santa Hat on and I managed to get him to behave with the fake beard.

[ He chuckled. ]

Don't be ridiculous. Even if you're not eager to mingle, there are plenty here who'd enjoy mingling with you. Don't disappoint them.

[She peels off her gloves, laying them on one of the back tables where they're unlikely to be mistaken as 'lost' by a well-meaning Hero or civilian.]

[Then he describes Repede. Rukia is paying rapt attention to Yuri, staring right at him. Then she's immediately lifting herself onto the toes of her feet, scanning the crowds for signs of that familiar jagged tail of his canine companion, because that sounds adorable. She's forgotten the mistletoe incident of last year completely, which was her entire reason she'd asked if the mischievous dog was present in the first place.]

I hope so.

[No sign of him for now, though, so to the kitchens they go.]

Did you find the gift I gave you yet? I'm quite proud of it.

Jeez, you sure know how to work your way around me now don't you Shorty?

[ Yuri chuckled a bit as she caught him. He couldn't argue with that. He ruffled her head a bit. At least, however he could while she had the Santa hat on. Rukia was always nice to have around when he's working himself a bit too hard huh? The dog was probably wandering around minding his own business and playing with children if anything. He'd find his way to Rukia eventually if she looked some. ]

You will without a doubt. He's got one for you.

[ He added before retiring to the kitchen. ]

Oh? Well, let's put it this way. I didn't exactly look but I'll poke at it when I get back. Thanks in advance.

[There are actually two presents for Yuri. One is a large white murder cowboy hat with a package of moustache stencils. Don't ask, she thought it was funny. The other is a pair of elemental crystals - ice and fire - that he can integrate into his weapon or armor. She needs her friends to be safe.]

Certainly. I think you'll enjoy what I picked out.

[The crystals, anyway. She just hopes she's there to see the look on his face for the other package. For now, they need to work so they can get back to the party as soon as possible.]

[ He'd probably roll his eyes once or twice when he saw them all but for now he would just think about what she could give him. Knowing Rukia, even her presents were a bit outrageous but he wasn't all too crazy concerned with it. Either way, they'd be put to some kind of use, even if it meant displaying them somewhere for the fun of it. ]

You think so? You must have gotten me something amazing didn't you?

[ Though the sarcastic tone in his voice said otherwise. Yuri continued to do what he was doing and serving the food where it needed to be served on top of other things. He was grateful for Rukia's help and he figured telling her no was not going to stop her in any way. ]

A few things, I'd say. Get on with your duties so you can relax.

[She orders him with a smile, folding her arms. She's looking forward to spending the holiday with her friends, not watching them wait tables. But while she's waiting, she can at least go seek out Repede and play with him see how he's doing.]

Right. I'm working on it!

[ He replied back to her as she ordered him. Jeez, what kind of friends did he have usually? They're all so very aggressive and assertive. Couldn't a guy get a break from all of this? In any case, he worked just as hard to make sure he was done with the stuff in time to entertain Rukia at the very least. She was a demanding individual but not something he hated.

Repede was wandering around the people slowly and stopping every so often to give people cutely decorated candy canes. ]
