Jade braced himself against the blast. He had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but it couldn't be helped. Although he had only seen Sephiroth truly enraged once, that brief glimpse of the darkness within had been enough to tell him this Shadow, more than any other, couldn't be allowed to leave the room.

Rukia's arrival was a relief. Jade wasn't equipped for close quarters combat and didn't particularly want to take the brunt of the Shadow's onslaught again. "Just about everything. Watch your attacks -- I can't bring him back if he dies."

Or so the Sage's instructions had said. Jade wasn't about to test it. He quickly cast Gift of Crystallis on the party to stave off some of the damage and keep everyone healed up. They could probably finish this quickly if everyone went all out... but that could mean accidentally killing Sephiroth if they weren't careful.
