Sparks was approaching, but seemed to be engrossed in conversation with his moogle companion. Or maybe it was more like an argument. When he noticed Rialynn was within earshot, he clammed up, and tried to slap on a smile. That attempt failed once the trumpets started playing. Red, the moogle, looked sheepish, but only until Sparks turned away from her. Then the apologetic smile was replaced with a devilish grin.
Sparks finally approached Rialynn, tipping his hat in greeting. Notably, he wasn't dressed up for the date. There was a reason for that.
"Evenin'. I, uh, was brought to this occasion under false pretenses. So don't hold it against me if I don't seem ready. It's no reason to hold it against ya, since I know all who's behind this now." A flat glance was shot Red's way, who played innocent.
"I Reckon we just play along with their shenanigans til they leave us alone. Um, unless ya don't want to. I could probably come up with some charges to get 'em out of our collective hair for at least a night. At least ."
Arresting that many Moogles would probably be more of a headache for him later.
