Chrom disliked these trials. Useful as it might be in the long run, he disliked how their shadow selves dug into people's insecurities and cut them down. It was difficult to focus on the task at hand when the shame and humiliation became too great to bear.

The toughest part, he'd found, was accepting that this other side existed without giving up all hope and pride. Arguing against the shadow wouldn't help, and would only make it more difficult to accept. He unfolded his arms and took a step forward from where he stood, giving a single firm nod of assurance to his housemate.
