Mary just smiled as she slipped back into bed, sitting at the edge of it as she laid out the tray. "Thought I'd do something special, seeing as our schedules always have us running about at different hours. Couldn't do anything fancy like you do but the basics should do just as well." No matter what the era, bacon was always an easy key to happiness.

She leaned over, bumping her shoulder to Saori's. "Thanks for putting up with me being so flighty. In my time I saw so many relationships fall apart when the man went to sea. So many men finding comfort in other beds and women assuming the worst." She glanced at Saori's face and then chuckled a bit, "Course, I supposed neither of us are precisely saints in that regard either."
