If there's one thing Jaune's learned while he's here, it's that most of the other Heroes are much more capable fighters than he is. Tied in with his current lack of strength, it's probably best to let them handle the frontlines for the moment.

"I can't believe I'm about to do this in the middle of a fight."

He straightens up, takes a breath, and begins his Prom Dance. He still doesn't get how it works, the whole dancing to debuff an enemy, but he's willing to run with it. He stays behind Pyrrha, ready to jump in if things get more physical; the two fought seamlessly together. Besides, there's no way he's letting his teammate out of his site, not now.
