There was a time to argue. There was a time to be stubborn. That was neither of those times as the constant bucking of the platform was scaring Selphie more than her face was hopefully showing. She didn't bother to shoot a look back at the possessed Ramza but merely nodded at Yuri as she started to run for Ira's portal. She had a feeling that they were some of the last heroes to evacuate but crossing the decaying platform felt like it was taking an eternity.
She shouted defiantly at the platform to not give out on them as she jumped the last few feet into the portal. The darkness swirling around her for the briefest time was enough to drain the colour from her face as she eventually stumbled onto the deck of the Enterprise. She was noticeably shaking from the brief trip before moving out of the way. The adrenaline from the battle was starting to wear off as she loosened the belt around her shoulders and pulled Falchion off her back to set it on the ground. She sank next to the sword and shot a petrified look at the portal.
"Selphie," Jaelyn called out before rushing to her partners side. "Are you all right?!"
"I'll be fine," Selphie breathed out. "Yuri and Chrom were right behind me. C'mon, don't die in there. You're both needed, now more than ever."
She didn't ever dare to ask if everyone was all right; she already knew the answer.
