Given all of the events that had now led to them fleeing from an ever expanding, violent sea of crystal, it might be either the remnants of adrenaline or even general battle fatigue that might be jarring Sephiroth's focus. Either that, or circumstances were already very wrong and perhaps the silver haired man were over focusing on keeping it together and carrying on.
Sephiroth did retract his hand when Zack fluffed up and flapped, quickly his eyes darted over all the movements -although he wasn't particularly in tune with animals- in an attempt to read what the chocobo might be trying to get across. Either the bird were being ansty toward the prospect of being shut up in the stables, or there was something else.
"...how about Cloud?" Though really Sephiroth hadn't seen his guildmate at all since getting back on board the Enterprise. A weight pulled in his gut some over the prospect that the young man might not have made it at all but ever stalwart he straightened himself up again. Cleared his throat like a discarded thought and then started again.
"Should we go and try to find him?"

Though moogles had very stubby paws -and Spencer was smaller generally than most boys- in such small quarters it could be argued that it was ideal really. He managed to settle finally beside Bonnie in such a way that his over-sized pom wouldn't knock too much against her head, either. His whiskers quivered a little, it was a little dusty in their hidey-hole, but he managed not to sneeze. Instead, before long they might seem just a larger ball of fluff, than two separate mogs.
"This isn't the end, you know. Heroes of Light...they just don't give up that easy. Though we might be away from their side for a little while, it'll all turn out ok. I'm sure, kupo."
Spencer wasn't the best moogle at making anyone feel better, but if anything he'd been doing this job for a long time now and prior experience was very much on his side. It's likely he'll never forget that first time it appeared that his Hero had died in a sickbed one October.
