The closer they get to the forest, the more they stop seeing regular monsters, and soon nearly everything is undead. He is frequently signaling for the group to stop, or turn around, or take a different path, if there is too much ahead of them.

Trying to navigate through the Crystal Forest is challenging enough on its own. Trying to navigate after five years have passed, and the paths have changed, and trying not to run into any monsters? It feels impossible for a while. They feel like they get on a very promising path, and then Kaji stops them all dead. They can even see the movements of a Zombie Dragon between the treetops, somehow even larger and more fierce than before. Has the Calamity changed everything?
