Meeting up: Christmastown?

What: The two groups enter Santaland from different directions, meet up, and learn about what's going on.

Yes, near the mines. But there is a problem there; those we met in the mines themselves were quite dead.

[Tazendra looked unchanged, beyond longer hair. She did cock her head: she hadn't known James, or Mary as it seemed, that well, and wasn't quite sure what had prompted the change (or Mary's original guise. Well, other lands had strange customs.]

[He affirmed, rubbing the back of his covered neck with his hand before gesturing for them to head inside as well.]

Can't say I'm used to this either, but... things change in five years. Been a while, Duster.

[For all the difficulty he has in recognizing the younger Heroes, Duster has remained completely unchanged. He thinks it's for the better. A man with a beard covering his entire face would be approached with caution if he walked around town in tattered old clothes.

Or the people of the village were kind and offer handouts.

It feels like five years, you know? What've you been up to all this time?

[For all she'd grown, Lydia was still the shortest in the group, and thus easiest to miss. She'd been moving around and doing her best to draw out shyer members. Small jokes and funny stories, bringing food or drink with her to those who couldn't get it themselves. Bundled up in her cloak and a dark red scarf over her clothes...

Familiar voices though, had her blinking and excusing herself. Then grinning, as there were some people she needed to say hi to.]

Minato! DUSTER!

[Don't mind the tackle-hugs in greeting--at least she yelled in warning?]

Miss Tazrenda!

[Soon enough off to give her a hug in greeting too.]

[In her time here, a fair few questioned the flips between Mary and James, but the switches were something as simple as necessity for a surprise. In the company of Saori and Ira there was no need, and surviving the snow had been a priority more than hiding her long hair. And anyone worth hiding her dual identity from already knew, at this point. In any case, James Kidd was a mask she wore to go where Mary Read could not, but Crystallis was a far more open world even in its ruined state than Earth was in the 1700s.]

As I said we found ourselves in the frozen fields, and we were nearly lost there. We were lucky enough to be saved by some of the folk who have been living in the camps outside of this town. People doing their best to pick out their survival in the shadow of the Archfiend and some 'snow beast'.

[Lydia is small, but not as small as she used to be. Duster manages to stay upright after getting hit back and teetering on his right foot.]

You've grown! [Says Captain Obvious, but what can one say when reunited with a kid after a long trek through the snow. He gives her a quick squeeze.]

[Since Mary got the food, Saori was quick to send word for new clothes and blankets.]

Apparently, this Archfiend resides in Trano Golsaucia. As for this Snow Beast, it's got some sort of camouflaging ability that's given the villagers here trouble. We might have a way around it but we lacked the manpower to do so until now.
