The Temple of Water
Who: Hisui Hearts, anyone else.
What: Facing the Archfiend of Water, the most badass of all archfiends.
Where: Under the sea, under the sea~
When: May 15th
Notes: Yadda yadda yadda, check out the temple info post and OoC plotting post to do stuff. OTA
His shoes were waterlogged by then, making the trek all the more uncomfortable, yet they had to remain on his feet else he'd fall over. This was the true tragedy of the Temple.
"There's a room up ahead." He walked in, realizing that it was surprisingly empty save for some treasure chest. Surely this was a resting place to reward them for fighting for so long.

She fell silent as she thought about what she knew about the attacks, trying to formulate a strategy to lessen their effects, when Duster walked into the room ahead. Peering over his shoulder, she placed a hand on his arm.
"Hold up. Something doesn't seem right," she said. "Why would anyone just leave a treasure chest here all by itself? It kinda feels like bait."
Bait for what, she had no clue.

"This is a puzzle room," Duster replied as if he knew exactly what was to come. "They have these giant rooms inside castles that make you think there's nothing to find except for cheap treasure. The trick is to find the secret tunnel to another room." A nod. "I fell for something like that years ago."

"He isn't wrong," he had to agree with Duster. "I've seen things hidden in strange places. Of course, we also had a Ring of Disintegration at the time, to rid ourselves of obstacles in our way..."
That would be nice to have again. It was probably a good thing it couldn't target humanoids, though, with Albel.
"At the same time, it could just as well be a trap. Be on your guard." He drew the Crimson Scourge, looking around the room.

She turned to Duster and shook her head. "I don't think so. Some of the spells they did weren't familiar--which makes this whole thing even weirder." What exactly had Kalki done?
Looking back into the room, she nodded. "I'd say it's definitely a trap, but we won't know for sure until we enter, right?" And like Albel, she drew her katana before stepping forward.

"Looks like--" And then he was gone. Just as he turned his head away from the wall, one of the eyes rotated to look directly at Duster. It continued to move towards Sheena and Albel.
Because Albel would screw this puzzle up so many times.
He noticed the eye just before it rotated again. "What's tha -- "
Double poof. Whoops.
And because I did while playing the game...LOL
And didn't find one. So, where did they go?
And that's when she saw the rotating eye, moving towards her.
"Oh, you've got to--"
Hey, guys. Wait for her.
they are the worst speedrunners
Something was up.
"You're here, too?"

He groaned, thoroughly irritated. This was going to be "a thing," wasn't it? This temple was going to be the worst.

"I was hoping we'd wind up in the same place," she said. "Which looks like the entrance," she finished slowly. Groaning, she asked, "We're going to have to go through all that again, aren't we?" Sighing, she gave one piece of advice.
"Just watch for those eyes on the walls."
no subject
"Did they cast magic or something?" He hadn't seen what happened, as he was looking the other way. That showed him not to pay attention to his surroundings.

To demonstrate, she approaches it, and sure enough, glowing eyeball and ninja moved right back to a few feet behind her.
"See?" She looked around. "We somehow avoided them before--unless they weren't active until we set off one--or the monsters were let loose. Now, we just have to figure out how to move through." She smiled.
"And I have an idea."
