He smiled. With the calm that she had shown, it helped him to think. He could dismiss it and call it a dream but that didn't seem right. It was too vivid, too real to be one and the smells, since when did dreams allow this? The scent of honey baked on breads and melons at the market stands, bug bites, and even the soft sounds of clanking metal as he walked were too elaborate for his dreams to create. His imagination was never this vivid before.
Even in mako sleep, he never had dreams like this. "Like you, panic doesn't do any good. Indulge me for a moment." He shifted his weight to kneel since sitting in armor was uncomfortable. "What was the last thing you remember before you woke up here?"
For him, he hoped to open the door to this new reality. Making a friend outside of what he knew may prevent him from losing his sense of self. He wasn't about to give up who he was for the sake of their given purpose and maybe it would help him atone for the things he had done back home. Should he ever return home, this world may offer him a new hope to at least try to become the hero he wanted to be.
