Angeal had been the one that revealed that Genesis was making a move for Hojo, when Zack had finally been delivered to their rendezvous. Whatever the puppy-SOLDIER had been doing since he crashed down through Sector 5, Sephiroth wasn't interested. In the meantime Genesis had lured Sephiroth away from ShinRa HQ so that he could launch an attack with his back turned. So much for dreams and honor; that was his lowest blow yet. Maybe that's why Angeal was helping this time, who knew.
What Genesis needed Hojo for though, Sephiroth didn't know. He assumed it was something to do with his petty quarreling with Hollander and if Genesis had come to kill the Professor then part of him wished he'd just get it over with already. In the meantime, clearing the copies from the building was his concern.
Not any more though, if any of this were believed to be real. Which it wasn't, it couldn't be - not enough of it made logical sense to Sephiroth.
