A quick nod and a smile. "That's correct. I come from Earth, in the year 1944. Most people are like you and haven't encountered magic before."
Charlotte sighs, resting her hand on her tome. "But there's something about this world... I can't use any of the spells I know from home."
Otherwise, it'd be much easier for her to find a way back home.
