If she did show up in this world, it would be in Luke’s best interest to… take that opportunity. He might not get another chance to do so, for a long while. However many months or years they happened to be trapped in this new world. And what if… Sai were to suddenly appear? Gaara couldn’t predict his own reaction to that occurrence. Suffice to say, it would be shocking. He wondered which scenario he would prefer: Sai not remembering him at all, or coming with his memories intact…
It was doubtful, really, that whomever this girl happened to be… those feelings were one-sided. Who wouldn’t form an attachment to Luke? He was very kind and caring, as well as patient and forgiving. He certainly possessed a similar charisma to what Gaara had observed in other friendly types of individuals, such as Naruto, Ishtar, and Sora. It sounded like Luke was trying to convince himself of something being impossible, rather than face the truth.
