A possibly familiar, rigidly straight-backed young woman may catch Kaji's eye - she was at the Fire Crystal that morning as well, but was wearing different clothing and had made a hasty departure. She sits in one of the seats near the back, arms and legs crossed and head lowered, deep in thought.
Ashelia isn't sure what to make of the play. In her personal experience, legends and myths seem to have some basis in reality. What parts had been embellished by the players to appease the audience? After two thousand years, would this story of the Heroes of Light be at all recognizable from the actual events? It's also in her personal experience that saving the world is an incredibly melodramatic endeavour, with twists and turns, triumphs and reverses and the like. There is also, of course, the possibility that none of it is true.
She gets to her feet, shaking her head slightly. And yet, here I stand. As she files out of the seating area, following the slow flow of the crowd, she walks right by Kaji, unknowing.
