Where: Dreams.
When: Overnight from April 16th to April 17th.
Summary: The Heroes of Light have a shared dream— They find themselves in the body of a Hero of Light from two thousand years ago, both witnessing events and reenacting things that happened back then. But these Heroes of Light aren't just anybody; they are people from their homeworlds... And sometimes themselves. Please refer to the second OOC Post for details and plotting.

[She gives him a nod knowing that they would survive. Sephiroth is strong and she isn't lucky enough to die as a hero.

Don't say that..

I'm a monster.]

Yes.

[A pause.]

Everything will need to be rebuilt.

Buccaneer can't ignore the voice in his head. Especially now that people are agreeing with him. He pulls out his crystal and lays it on the table as he stares at Kalki.

"You all know me, some to a better degree than others, but that doesn't change the fact that most of you here know I follow my gut, and more than that, I follow my general. Look at my crystal. No messages or transmissions, yet I hear her in my head telling me to fight. To leave the plan Kalki agrees with, because she is a traitor. I have no proof but the clear ring of Olivier's words in my head."

"So try to convince me to doom my world. I don't mind dying, I already did it to save them back home. If we only weaken the Calamity before it goes for our home worlds, that is enough. I know at least one of our home worlds will beat it. What makes this crystallized world more important than the worlds we all come from?"

There are always paths. Sometimes unseen.

[She watches him feeling the trust and friendship that Zelda shared with him. It is curious that such a pure soul would reach out to this one. She doesn't stop it but listens to the feelings in Zelda's heart knowing the kindness that the young girl has shown.

Hylia knows that this Sephiroth is not the same. She can sense the darkness even if that power has been place out of reach of her other self. One day you will be able to sense it as well.]

We shouldn't be blinded by anything, not now.

[It is honest advice from Hylia, something she is imparting to all those who cross her path.]

[She bows her head with a gentle smile. She knows what fate might bring them and she isn't going to shy away from it. Cloud is wise and brave in his assessment and she admires him more for it.]

Take care and know that you won't be forgotten. No matter what our future holds.

Perhaps...

[He was hearing the voice of that other Assassin, but her focus seemed to be elsewhere. That didn't mean it couldn't be a clever ploy or a device she found. More likely someone was trying to use his own caution against him.]

{It's called guilt. Or it would be if you had a conscience. The blood of people who are trying to do good is on your hands. This has gone beyond revenge for your son.}

REGARDLESS! Ahem, regardless, we must not allow ourselves to be deterred. We must be sure of what it is we plan to do and stick to the plans we make.

[He tipped his hat once more to the bestial woman.]

I wish you good luck on your own forthcoming mission.

[She grunts in return and turns away.]

Don't believe me but I don't think the voice is false.

[Terra walks away leaving the man to his thoughts.]

[Cloud is the one who is having trouble keeping his emotions in check. The rage boils so close to the surface it's a wonder it hasn't popped. The temptation to run the silver haired man through with his sword and damn the consequences is tempting to the point of even sacrificing this world.

{You'd do it. You'd burn this all down just to get revenge on him.}

'I beat him. Twice. He should be gone now. He said he'd never be a memeory. He has no right to be a reality! Not anymore!'

{He was your hero!}

'And if I killed him right the first time then maybe none of this would ever have happened.'

{Stop it!}

Cloud pounded his fist onto the console. His breathing was hard as he tried to push the voice in his head aside. He couldn't help but wear his heart on his sleeve, but at this rate he was at risk of falling to Sephiroth's side of the line. He couldn't give in to his tricks.

He straightened up, closing his eyes and took a breath. He couldn't trust his mind to not betray him. He had to follow what was important. Get Tifa through this. Worry about everyone else later.]

Of course. Northern Crater wasn't an easy expedition, but we got through....But you know that.

Ha. I may need that, since we're not. Sadly it's not in my repertoire. I'll just have to settle for ruining my hair today.

[Ban smiles coyly. This is much better than dwelling on all the bad news.]

[Ban slyly raises an eyebrow.]

I know in the past I haven't always been around. But for the most important things, I always was. Rachel would have my head if I didn't. Today is no different, even without her here.

[He looks a little surprised.] Well, if I am cracking up, I'm glad I'm not doing it alone.

Ha, I don't think Johnny really cares for my help. Our relationship has always been a bit... strained, shall we say. Especially in recent months.

[He shrugs a bit. He knows the struggle that Johnny's life has been. If he was going to blame Ban for it, there was little he could do about that.]

"It's always strange when I hear them referred to as family. Demons don't really do family the way humans do. It's complicated, comparatively. I did always have my sister around, but that's a rarity in my world. Twins are almost unheard of, but, I guess I'm just that special of a guy."

Ban gives her his usual easy smile, but it doesn't last for long. So much for his "family" following him here, though. It didn't work out so well for Rachel, and his relationship with Johnny has been rather rocky, especially since she died.

"Let's make this world a safe one. Then we'll bring your family over for a vacation. Maybe that way Rhys won't think it's all shit then, yes?"

I don't. I will literally go anywhere that's still in one piece once this whole debacle is over. I'm not too picky. What about you? Any plans for vacation once we're done? I'm sure we'll more than earn it.

Ib flinches slightly when Luke hits the wall, and emits a tiny squeak that she hopes no one heard. It looks as though everyone is just going to argue until the whole world is crystallized. How can they not understand? Did they think the sacrifice was easy for the rest of them? This is about giving a chance to the future heroes. This is about the hope that the calamity can be stopped, really stopped, one day.

Although, Buccaneer is talking about voices now? Maybe the stress is getting to him. Suddenly, she just feels tired. When she speaks, her voice is quiet.

"Do you even know where Garland is? Can you find him in time?"

She's shifting her eyes to each one of the dissenters in turn, wondering if they really understand what they're saying.

"If you do find him, can you beat him? Will the calamity stop if you do? Or will you just fight him while the Calamity spreads and all the worlds are lost?"

Ventuswill isn’t so lucky, however. Before she or the presence within her have the time to react, one of the pillars slams straight into her. Her small frame means she’s sent flying backwards, slamming right into the cavern wall and slumping down to the ground.

And then the mist began to set in. She had to stand up and cast an Esuna quick, or they would all be in trouble. But she just… couldn’t. This human form was far more fragile than her normal one. To move period felt like an ordeal by itself, let alone cast spells. It felt much like it did when the runes inside her were dissipating, and she could feel herself beginning to black out as she tries to reach for her staff just a few feet away. Yet deep down, she swore she heard someone for a brief moment. Perhaps a far-off memory of a certain friend, or something else.

( “Get up. Come on, get up. This ain’t the time for you to sleep all day like before!” )

Hmph. Whatever this was, it certainly had no trouble getting quite fresh with her. But she’ll dismiss it. She would, except…

(“No. There’s no way you can let yourself die here! After all, those guys out there are your friends too. You care about them, don’t you?”)

No, no “excepts” – she had to get to them. Despite her battered condition, she’ll reach for her staff among the fighting and chaos.

"Rayman," she coughs, the poison mist nearly making her choke for air. "Yugi, everyone... hold on..."

Unfortunately, there were still crystalline enemies about, and they could easily off her at this point. And indeed, one would quickly close in and finish her off if her partners don't act fast.

I'm glad to hear that.

[She chuckles at that response, although her weariness has likely already rang clear at that point. It was good to see he at least still remembered. Compared to her, when she was finding herself in a difficult predicament. An option that not everyone was going to be happy with.]

It would be easier that way, wouldn't it? Although, it's not always as simple as it seems. Even the solution you happen across may... not be what you're hoping for. [She smiles once more.] ... It's all right to feel that way. It's all right to feel lost.

[As the Heroes continue to try and convince them to stop, Blair's keystrokes slowed to a halt, the atmosphere growing heavy as an empty expression fixates upon the screen. She was halfway done. Each breath felt far heavier than before. What would Fayt say, if he were still here? She couldn’t do anything to avert his or Edge’s deaths. She may not have been there, but she felt just as responsible. Yet here, she could do something. She wasn’t useless. She wasn’t helpless.

What should she do now? If she continued, it’s likely people would die. If she didn’t, their worlds could be claimed. This cycle may only begin anew, as they theorized. That... too was a possibility.

Without even noticing, or maybe even not caring one of her hands slumps to her side. She shakes her head, barely even hearing the goddess and her knight’s words as she briefly glances back at the man they referred to as a villain, her expression still unfocused. The goddess and her knight who stood before an "evil" man consumed by darkness. The goddess… knight… a great evil…]

Yes- [A smile just a little too intense for just kindness flashes at Terra in the second before he looks, and then steps away from her.] -yes it will.

[From it's destruction, will finally come the future worth saving.

{...you're crazy...there is no end to it...}]

Don't worry. I promise that it will all be worth it.

She could see already that things were going horribly, horribly wrong. She didn't know what she wanted to do. She was trying her best but the moment she saw one of her comrades killed, stabbed and another she was pretty sure was not alive right now.

She slowly started to physically shake, she was seeing everything fall apart in front of her and it didn't help that all she could see was the crystalline figure of her mother edging closer and closer to her.

She couldn't moved, she couldn't do anything as they got closer. She was in her own world. Maybe she should just accept it and just let her death happen, even if deep down her sister would want her to fight. In fact Blooms voice was telling her to not believe that figure, fight and at least help.

That was enough to snap her out of it long enough to move just as one figure slashed at her on the side. All she could do was see who was left and see what she could do. Although that this moment in time she felt like fighting would just lead to them all dying right now.

"Guys... whose left? I think the mission has failed, we can't hold them off any more."

[She shakes her head slightly.]

No world is truly doomed. My home world was destroyed once, but now before all of this it had once again become a world full of beauty. Just because one sees the world as doomed doesn't mean that is actually the case.

[It was because of her sister that it all happened, she couldn't help but give a small smile as she had spoken.]

That is why we take action now, because we all have the hope that things can be fixed. That they can go right. Just some have that belief more than others.

How do I hold on? [It was a question she asked herself at least once.] That's not an easy question to answer, but... my sister had her goals and dreams here. She wanted to help, to do something... To save this world.

[With each word she spoke, her voice cracked, it was obvious it was still fresh in her mind. Her sisters death. It was horrible.]

Those passed onto me and hat is what keeps me going. That... is how I hold on. I want to make her proud.

[She couldn't help but be a little confused.]

A little strained? What do you mean by that exactly?

Yugi managed to barely dodge the pillars, as one managed to skim by his causing a small cut to form on his leg. He couldn't help but grit his teeth slightly, trying not to let the pain get the best of him. However he was quick to realize that the mist was not a good thing and it was even more obvious the moment he started to cough.

Looking around, he was making sure to check the others and make sure they were okay. As he did he soon spotted that one of his friends was in trouble. He needed to help them first before doing anything else as he quickly moved to pull Venuswill out of the way and swiftly use his sword to cut the crystalline figure. It was all he could do right now as he coughed once more. This isn't good. It wasn't good at all.

[He could at least tell that he might have gotten to close, but he also had been here long enough to know how to move out of the way if that were to ever happen. So he was still rather calm about it.]

Sorry if I was so quiet them. I should have spoken up sooner. [He still couldn't help but think that sword was the longest sword he had ever seen, even after being here for so long.]

I guess taking in some last practice. I should really do that myself.

That is also a speculation that would make the most sense really.

[It would make perfect sense in his mind.]

I just hope what I am trying to find will help. It also makes me worry a bit about the item. [If it is something that could help then deep down he wondered if that would be a bad thing.]

Yeah. I don't want to be unprepared.
