The poor fools. Perhaps what she had said at first was wrong after all, the fallen were not to be pitied -- when it was clearly those that remained that were the most pitiable of all. Yunalesca's head shook gently from side to side as they all said their piece, every word they uttered just more proof in her eyes that they were unable to make the right choice.

"The Calamity is an inevitable part of this world. While you all live, it will be never-ending. You actions -- and the actions of your comrades, play a direct part in this tragedy. Seeing them now, like this, fallen before you -- do these things not threaten to drown you in your sorrow? You would wish this pain upon others, doomed to take part in this collapsing world, with no hope in sight?"
