Rikku awoke with a groan, eyes slitting open against the painfully bright light – then shooting open when she found herself looking into crystal blue eyes, staring at nothing. “Tidus!” She crawled the short distance to him, but did not need to shake him to see he was gone.
A faint sob sounded over the battle field when she saw Yuna fallen beside him, in those few moments she was unconscious she had lost them both. “You two, always leaving me behind. It’s not fair.”
The assassin stood, swaying slightly as she found her balance and made her way back to the other warriors. Her wounds easily forgotten in the swell of grief. It was with a bitter irony that she was walking off to be a sort of sacrifice, but she was always one to fight to the end. In her hands, the dual blades felt hungry.
She pointed a dagger out towards Yunalesca, “Don’t you Yevon baddie types ever stay dead? It’s just plain rude!”
