Gwen might argue about the difference between their 'orders,' for lack of a better term. (Jack, however, would find himself a lot less able to argue the distinction.) But she has come to trust the Heroes here, to know that they are all working towards the same goal. Those goals, she would equate, Torchwood and the Heroes of Light, standing between the rest of the world and certain darkness.

Gwen frowns a little and folds her arms at the question. "They've thought of things. Nothing that any of us want to hear." A resentful glare goes back to the both of them, without Gwen really thinking about it. "An idea that maybe we're getting stronger, through the crystals, as more of the world gets converted." Then, the Doctor had a mad idea that the entire world was simply being put into a crystal stasis, like the heroes of the past. That it was maybe actually beneficial. Gwen wasn't sure what she was angrier about: the Doctor's idea, or Jack's readiness to accept it.

Gwen huffs out a sigh. "They are not as concerned as I'd like them to be about the fact that we don't seem to be reviving anymore." Not that this has affected Gwen, but Jack's own crystal is jet black from the many times he's died in this world.
