Faize watches with narrowed eyes as Blair continues to type, heedless of their pleas. That pause was noted, but that she continued to work proved to Faize that though Blair might be hearing their words, she did not want to see reason. She had decided to give up on this world, no, perhaps even reject it, with the way she'd spoken to Sophia in such a cryptic way. His eyes flashed an odd pinkish red hue as the turmoil built. He'd trusted them.... both of them, and yet they were still keeping secrets after so long.

And the longer this dragged on... the longer they fought.... He couldn't place his trust in Blair to do the right thing, to hear their words. Not anymore. Not with the risks at hand.

So while Link had Ganondorf occupied, it gives Faize the opening he needed.
