Cloud got his meaning, "Yeah, we have monsters here too. Same kinds. Some new ones too. We had to fight this big thing called a Chocobo Eater but it wasn't like anything I'd seen before." He shrugged off the question about the materia though. He wasn't even sure if it would still work here considering how his own mage powers worked.

"I think we'll be figuring out a lot of things by doing them. I've been a Black Mage since I got here but I just picked up something new. I'm learning how to use a gunblade now."

He looked up and down the street, mulling over the different options for food. It took a moment before the obvious occurred to him, the best meal he'd had since arriving, "Oh! Angeal is here! He's a really good cook, but I guess you knew that. Have you run into him yet?"
