He paused at the sound of the young, stern voice and turned to face Zelda. He certainly didn't run into someone with those kind of ears, and he took a moment to carefully look her over as Annie caught up with the two of them.

"I don't mean to cause trouble for the actors," he explained. "Nothin' wrong with takin' a peak inside the theater, is there?" She certainly didn't look as if she were in charge, so technically, she had no authority on that.

"That I am," he responded to her statement cheerfully. "Name's Mordecai, but you can call me Barkeep, on account of the saloon I run back home on Mars." He stuck out a hand for a friendly handshake.
