"Well... we'll just do what we can, like we said," he offered. That was said as optimistically as ever, but then he hesitated, growing a little more solemn. "I, ah... I actually lost my memory once. I didn't know about it until recently, though." Recently was relative; that was actually around a decade ago. "I got some of it back -- so I'm sure you can, too! You just need that someone or something to remind you." He didn't add that his "recovery" had been extremely traumatic and painful, even to the point where it still gave him a headache today if he thought about it too much -- but the odds of this girl having lost her memory the same way were one in a million, at the very least. Surely.
By his shoulder, Mograe was tilting her head curiously. Obviously, Ven had never mentioned such a thing to her.
"Anyway," he added more brightly, "the sooner we get to Aqures Ixen, the sooner we can try to find a way to help."
