"I imagine the magic systems being different are due to the physical rules of this world, and those can't be easily broken without time and research. Sticking to their rules might also help us figure out what is going on in this world," she agrees.

"Unfortunately the lead researcher on our side isn't necessarily open with us about her research, but I think it's more she would like final results before sharing."
