"Aqures Ixen, the city we are traveling to is where most of the Heroes used to wake up. Two months ago when the round of new comers I was with woke up, we were in a prison of a facility in the Heran Empire. There, a woman named Kalki wanted to experiment on us. We never learned why. Maybe so that she can always wake 'Heroes' where she wants, or maybe for another reason. She thinks we are part of this 'Calamity' that we are supposed to help save this world from. While we were leaving the facility, something in side of a giant crystal seems to have woken and is now slowly crystallizing the world. We found out about a month later that this cycle of 'Heroes' having to fight this 'Calamity' is a cycle that constantly resets itself in this world. And somehow those who have been here in precious cycles live here now as natives of this world. Kalki calls them doppelgangers, and those who had dreams that revealed the cycle were sent letters by Kalki with addresses that lead them to the doppelganger they saw in the dreams."

She knows it is a lot of information to let sink in, so she gives her a few moments before she tells her about the journal.
