At that point, Ven could only stare in a blend of shock and concern as Terra, or the strange creature she'd changed into, did battle with the larger one. Transformed or not, it was still Terra, and he involuntarily winced when she narrowly avoided that blow.
He was on his feet now, at least, but he stopped dead in his tracks when he realized that the larger creature was about to cast again. He wasn't sure who it was aiming for, but better safe than sorry: shifting his grip on his Keyblade, Ven struck the spaulder on his shoulder with his fist -- and fortunately, like with his weapon, the summons worked. He was instantly encased in his full armor, hopefully providing better protection against any more major spells that the creature doled out.
That done, he cast Blizzara in its direction, hoping to stop or at least stall that spell.
