Once he'd awoken and managed to squint away the bright sunlight that caught his face through the canopy, Sephiroth tilted his head first towards where he heard someone catch themselves from cursing nearby and then made to sit up to listen.

Just like the morning after a grueling workout, though, every single joint that made up Sephiroth's body tightened at precisely the same exact moment. Now that he'd had the equivalent to a good nights' sleep, that he hadn't for days, human bodies like to catch you up fast. A strong hiss of an exhale held him in place, hooking his arm around the top of a knee --clad as he was still in uniform-- as if it might help him stay sat upright while he afforded Jack the attention that he deserved.

"28 years..." Sephiroth pondered, forcing the growing discomfort his body was in away and pulling at his logic despite how a headache was already starting to whirl around like a gathering thunderstorm behind his eyes. It took him a little longer than he would have liked, but-
