[Ah, someone who's interested! Ales abaondons his search to stand up straight, prepared to gesture dramatically as he speaks.]
According to the myths, everything in my world was created from the dreams of Polokus. Along with him is the Heart of the World, a powerful conglomeration of magic that keeps balance in the universe! Now, the Heart of the World - or as some of the Teensie scholars call it, the Primordial Core - is composed of Lums: tiny bodies of energy. Some have special properties, others are just that: flying magic.
Now [A grand sweep of an arm.] most people in my world think only of grabbing a few at a time, using them to power up. However, I thought of using them another way: harnessing a big group of them to power machines! Think of it, we wouldn't have to rely on outdated technology and rogue heroes to protect ourselves! I started with small things, moved onto robots, then used my years of research to build my greatest creation: A self-powered flying fortress!!
[The silence after he finishes is a stark contrast to the volume of his voice as he spoke. Ales realizes that he may have gone a bit overboard in his speech.]
A-anyway. [One hand behind his back, the other in a fish in front of his mouth.] I've been hoping to recreate some of my inventions here, but this world runs on crystals, not Lums.
