Lydia was looking for trouble; but she didn't know where exactly she would find it. Mostly she just needed to get out of the city and away. She couldn't sit still and wait, and too much had happened. So here she was, heading out towards where she'd heard there might ultimately be some caves.

Not that they were the safest thing, but she did have her dagger with her at least.

Nighttime at least gave her a boost she could feel as a vampire. It helped with the false confidence she was feeling along with her need to DO something. Night also brought about other creatures though, like a swarm of bats heading out to feed. Unfortunately the seeker-bats decided Lydia looked tasty.
