"Something like that. We've worked with the city though there was recently tragedy in that alliance. Someone we thought we could trust betrayed us. A lot of people are hurt and as you can see, the city is recovering from that as well as the aftermath of a war. We hoped to receive more help from the city but it looks like it will take some time."

She paused with a smile.

"What I meant to say is that we are trying to help out the city now. Those guilds are technically aligned to the state because the state grants them things, such as spaces to work though the state has no say in what the guilds do." She hoped that made sense. It was a little bit more complicated than just having a guild, it was that in name, but also a symbol of light. Something that shows that the heroes will never give in, not matter how dark or dreary their task becomes.
