Terra could feel the tension in his body as she held herself close. She didn’t know if she was helping but she didn’t want to pull away either. Her thumb lightly glided against his hand, a soft gesture that might allow him the smallest measure of comfort.
When he turned his head down she shifted to look up at him, her blue gaze meeting his. Her expression was soft, supportive and confident. She believed in him as well as herself with an unwavering faith that couldn’t be matched. It has been months since the last time she tried to give her support and she was stronger now. She rested her head against his chest, her eyes never leaving his. She could feel his heart beat in her ear and in response her lips curled up ever so slightly.

For a long time Terra thought that courage was something she lacked. She didn’t think so anymore, she knew that she could face the future no matter what it brought because she knew that she wouldn’t be alone.
“Do you trust me?”
With one hand resting on his waist and the other hand holding his she pulled away, adding an inch to the space between them. She knew that it was a difficult question and with it carried many different implications but Terra knew that she trusted him. She considered him a very close friend.
