If there was one thing that had been hammered home about Kyoko, it was that she was insufferably cocky. Maybe it was more about just Mami now, maybe those memories of their first encounter in the alley were swirling up inside of her -- bursting to get out and extract their revenge. The other girl had shown her no mercy back then... why should she do anything like that now, when she finally had the upper hand?

She had sustained next to no injuries, and that Brain skill had helped her feel better than ever. She grasped her sword firmly in her grip, her hands no longer shaking as she approached, her heels sounding in what seemed like an empty world around them.

It was only the two of them now. No one else.

"I told you..." although she wasn't all that much taller, something about her presence seemed towering in that moment, her bangs obscuring her eyes in forgiving shadow, "to just shut up!" she lunged forward once more, blade first.
