Don't Fear the Reaper
WHO: All who signed up for the Reaper - Legendary Ghost event
WHAT: After several days of investigation, the Reaper's location has been predicted. Let's go beat up Death.
WHERE: A few miles north of Esdham - Military Cemetery
WHEN: October 19th - Evening
NOTES: A separate thread for investigating and planning will be posted, but there won't be any mod responses to it. Use it as you like, if you need it!
The moon was only an hour above the horizon, full and bright as it cast a pale light over the land. The stars were bright, and the air was cold, turning the breath of the living into a soft white mist. The frosted grass crunched quietly beneath their feet as they followed the long, lonely path up a solitary hill. Up ahead was a military cemetery, where the dead from countless skirmishes with the Heran Empire had been laid to rest.
The small square grave markers stood out like teeth. Every now and then there was a particularly ornate statue...a sword, a rearing horse, a man holding a shield to the sky...to honor those of higher rank. A gate of iron ringed the vast spread of graves. It had been said that the dead disliked iron, and the gate would prevent them from wandering too far from their place of rest.
Armed with her proton pack, Rukia opened the gate. "Be wary," she advised. "In such a place, we may contend with more than this Reaper." She certainly hoped that wasn't the case, but they had to be prepared for it nonetheless.
She could almost feel its presence. Her PKE meter had been screaming when she'd turned it toward the graveyeard, so she turned off the device entirely. If they didn't find the Reaper, it would surely find them.
