This ain't no Pumpkin Hill!

Who: Sonic and YOU
What: More Ghost hunting!
Where: Anywhere in Aqures Ixen.
When: Anytime between now and the end of this event.
Warnings: Ghosts. Also, make sure you list the ghosts you've caught in the monster post! Plus, feel free to say where You and Sonic are at - leaving it open for you guys! I can RNG ghosts if you want me to, just ask!

It was times like this Sonic wished Knuckles was around. Mostly to see him freak out because of all of these ghosts. For Sonic, though, this was going to be quite the adventure! With the Ghostbuster and Time Mage jobs active, Sonic was busy bouncing from one house to the next in search of the next ghost to capture. Had to be a tough one!

Stopping at one building, he knocked at the door. "Yo! Friendly neighborhood Heroes of Light here, ready to kick ghost butt!" He said. Answer or no, he threw the door open and began to investigate.

"You shouldn't just walk into someone's house."

Yuna came up behind Sonic with a friendly voice. Luckily the back half of this house was gone and it hasn't met the repairs just yet which meant that it was empty. With a warm grin Yuna looked over at Sonic, shifting her proton back so that it rested comfortably on her shoulders.

"Also using the name heroes of light. Everyone will think we do that." Though there are more heroes that don't respect personal space than Yuna knows.

Sonic chuckled and shrugged. "Eh, couldn't help it. 'Sides, never know what's beyond here anyway." Though, as he noticed the back half missing, he couldn't help but blink.

"Sheesh, didn't think things would still be bad this far out."

"They are sorta bad everywhere."

Yuna was about to explain further when she felt a chill travel up her spine. That's never a good sign. She glanced around the room shushing Sonic should he try and respond to her. It's clear that somethings here but Yuna has no idea what it was.

She slipped her PKE meter from her side and turned, watching the dial jump.

"Something's here."

Sonic quickly grabbed his own gun, flexing his free hand. If something would strike, he would have to really move.

"...d'ya know where?" he asked, on guard...

...with what they're looking for looming above.

If she knew where then Sonic would be the first to know. Yuna moved in a complete circle before pointing the meter up. A surprised yelp leaves her lips as the specter comes down at them.

At least this is a ghosts she knows.

"ReadY?!"

"FLASH!"

Sonic whipped around and grabbed Yuna, the two of them teleporting and reappearing a few feet away from where the ghost attacked them.

"Gonna hafta be faster than that!"

Yuna felt her head spin as the pair transported a little ways away. She pointed her gun upward, her aim never failed though as she shot it, it only seemed to irritate the grim specter.

"You get the other side, we can flank it."

"Gotcha!"

Another Flash and Sonic was right behind it, hitting the beast with his gun.

"I think all we're doing is making it more angry!"

Yuna tried to thin quickly as the Wraith reached down at her. She knew what his ghostly claw could do and what damage that might leave her.

She dodged to the side, but only just.

"Trying to think of something else." This wasn't like the one she was used too. "We are just going to have to weaken it."

"Think, think...!" Sonic uttered trying to think of something... before an idea him him. "Got it! DEMI!"

There was a pretty good kickback as the spell traveled through the gun and slammed into the ghost, really injuring it.

"It's weakened AND more angrier!"

Fai was perhaps one of the few people who decided not to switch to the ghostbuster job. He was more okay with helping people than doing that kind of thing by himself. He couldn't help but be amused at someone just barging into a house like that.

"You know that's kind of rude to just do that. After all they might not have ghosts."

Sonic just shrugs and grins.

"Heck, I don't even know if people are still living in these houses!" he replied. "'sides, their doors are oddly unlocked, anyway!"

At least it was angier at Sonic and not at Yuna. She moved to the side, keeping her gun up and the beam directed at the Wraith. It was weakening it but the process would be slow.

They just had to survive or think of something drastic.

Thinking? Thinking is never a good thing with Sonic around. Right now, he wished he went with Ninja and not Time Mage. Maybe he could move around a lot more instead of trying to get this thing to stop attacking...

...stop...

"Got it! SLOW!" And another spell was fired out, attempting to bring the beast to heel. Well, at least it's moving much slower! "Okay, now we can think longer!"

"Well considering this is my house, I think people do live in here." He said with a small chuckle as his eyes quickly shifted over to the corner of the room. That was odd... He wasn't sure what he could see.

"Okay, off that subject for a moment... Did you see that?"

"Huh?" Sonic blinked and looked around. "Heh, looks like there's someone else here and it may not be your housemates."

Yuna's lips curled into a wide smile. If he had time mage then maybe he could cast stop as well. It would certainly help her pull the ghost into the containment unit, of course that might be a little passed the hedgehogs abilities.

"Can you stop it completely?" Yuna pointed her beam at the Wraith, her fingers trying to both weaken it and drag it towards her so that she could trap it.

"If I can get it over top my trap I can lock it away."

Or at least she hoped that would work. They've weakened it some and maybe with the spell keeping it's movements slow it mgiht work.

"Never tried, better now than never!" Sonic replied, bracing himself before he called out "STOP!"

Another powerful burst shot out, striking the beast. It found itself confused as it was brought to a total standstill.

"Alright, let's finish this!"

Yuna's lips curled into a smile as she slid the containment trap beneath him. With a quick flick she turned it on, using her gun to help pull the creature towards the trap. After a moment and a lot of struggling the spirit vanishes into the device, small tendrils of smoke wisping from it's side.

"GOT IT!"

She jumped up and then slung her weapon over her shoulder. That felt really good.

Sonic stopped his own beam before pumping his fist in victory.

"Alright! That was awesome! Score one for the good guys!"

With a chuckle, he holstered his gun and rubbed the bottom of his nose with his finger. "Guess this one goes to you!"

"I know we've had a ghost dog in here sometimes, but..." He would have known if it really was the dog though and he got the feeling that wasn't the case as he saw something once more out of the corner of his eye, causing his head to turn slightly.

"Can you tell what it is?" he asked taking a couple of steps into the room, all the while keeping an eye out for whatever it was.

“Huh?”

Yuna looked at the smoking trap and then blinked up at Sonic. If he was talking about the monster arena she’s used to splitting the rewards. She’s done this for a long time and that’s usually how they did it. She liked hunting monsters and admittedly her beast master job made it easy.

“Did you want him?”

"This is yours. Big time." Sonic said, waving Yuna's concern off. "It's no life or death thing, so you can take it. 'Sides, I'd just use it for paying for the research stuff!"

"Nuh-uh. Little too fast for me." Sonic said, before grimacing at the irony. "...man, I wish I had my speed..."

"Were you fast in your world then?" He said before he saw the flicker of the lantern and flame before they went invisible again. This was getting annoying.

"Please show yourself... it's rude to hide in someone else house." He spoke signalling to Sonic to move towards a certain area, thinking he had some idea as to where it was going.

"Fastest thing around!" Sonic replied, following Fai's suggestion and moving towards that area. If that Poe would show up again, he'd nail 'em!

Yuna smiled. "Okay. Thank you."

She took the trap and carefully hooked it to her waist. She was glad that they had captured the thing unharmed.

"I'm going to send this to the arena then."

Luckily it's easy with the beastmaster job equipped.

Fai wasn't sure how exactly to deal with it, it moves fast and seemed to be able to turn invisible. However the moment he could see something he was prepared.

"Okay, now do something before it goes invisible again." Sure he was sure that this won't hurt it much but it might surprise it enough to not go invisible again, but he pulled out him gun and fired and for that brief moment he could see it.
