In the streets - open

The chaos in the streets by the time Sephiroth came down from the roof of the Observatory was nearly overwhelming. Still, he found himself paused on a street corner not too far from the Castle, staring up at the swirling thunderstorm for several moments...wondering...

Before his gaze was inevitably drawn to the large white moogle lumbering through the streets. Citizens were screaming, scattering all around trying to get away from even just being trodden on. It really did seem so much larger from the ground than it had from the Observatory. The loud, stone-splintering crash as a tower to the Castle was destroyed seemed to snap him out of the daydream he'd found himself slipping into.

Concentrate- He sternly told himself as he slipped down a side street to try and find a building -or even just an open part of the City- from which he might get a decent platform for loosing his particle thrower at the King; the pack still hummed quietly against his back. Partly distracting, partly urging him to carry on.

He hoped that Terra would stay put, just like he told her.

Having ushered a family of three down an alleyway which led away from the area, the rush of disturbed wind turned Sephiroth back to look directly at Jade and Zelda. As Zelda explained the nature of the beast to Jade, Sephiroth quietly strode towards them.

"He was in the cloud with the rest of them. Who knows, he might still be within that thing somehow..." The thought made him feel sick and instantly pulled a grimace again to his features. Eyeing the big white moogle as Jade proceeded to cast Ultima, he couldn't feel more useless.

Just on the off chance, Sephiroth passed alongside Jade. The Dark Light out again and pointed out of the side street and up the one side of the sugary apparition. His sword forgotten, given as it'd be useless here, Sephiroth's other hand unclips the particle thrower from his belt and turns it on.

Ready to follow with a steady stream of light; regretting having swapped Scholar out now earlier in the last week, the extra Light-damage might prove better than it had been against the Reaper...and there were other elemental tomes as well. The best he had right now were Elemental Attacks and those would only work at melee range.
