Zelda nodded to Jade, her fingers moving out to the side as she began to cast. A red clock speedily clicked around Jade, then Sephiroth, then Ashelia as she casted haste on the party.
She could help search for Cloud but Zelda wanted to make sure each group was prepared to fight and healthy. Her loftwing gave her enough mobility to get around easily.

"I guess so." He answered Ashelia, not for a moment phased by her sudden appearance. It was silently noted, how well she'd gotten skilled with the Psychic abilities though.
Though grateful for Haste as the effects rose up over him, he still hesitated to draw his sword. What use would running up to it's nearest foot and attacking it would grant?
It's not like there were anyone with any better ideas, and Zelda's spell wouldn't last forever -the hilt dropped suddenly to his grip and the steel sung as it was drawn. While Jade was left casting Firaga behind him Sephiroth used the extra speed granted to dash out of the alley, towards the nearest foot with everything he had. Launching himself forward and slashing with an Armor Break first -attempting to use the giant foot as a springboard to propel himself back post-strike- before launching again with Flame Tongue. Rinse and repeat with a large retreat afterwards so if there would be a retaliation he might have a better chance to dodge.
Hopefully somewhere in the middle of all of that, Jade's Firaga might meet it's mark.

On the one hand, he tried moving sluggilishy one of his feet, the one Sephiroth was attacking, to kick him into a wall. On the other hand, he swung his staff at Jade once more, faster this time and multiple times. If Jade wasn't hit, odds were that the attacks would at least disorientate him.

Finally the attacks stopped and Jade took several steps away from the Moogle. Focus, focus... His gaze found Ashelia, zipping around the enemy like a fly and buying them a few more precious seconds.
"Sephiroth! Do you need healing?"

Even though the King's foot movement is sluggish, the attempt to kick at him is the next immediate problem. Even if it's slow, it's still a large foot to come swinging at you. Taking a breath and holding it Sephiroth has to launch himself drastically to the side, having just gotten his balance back, the over large foot catches the lower part of one of his legs and the next thing he knows he's skidding to a halt not too far from the intended wall. Leather saves him from scraping too much across the concrete on the way and bruises can be nursed once this is all over; no matter how it feels, from the pounding to one side of his jaw, like his face might have connected with the floor at least once. After a moments pause he pushes himself back up to his feet, at least the King is being distracted by other things now.
"I'll be fine, Jade!" He calls back but isn't too sure which direction he's been turned around in now. It turns out Sephiroth is now out of line-of-sight from the alleyway they'd all been crouched in. "Keep pressing. I'm going to get a better look at this mess."
In the meantime, it's imperative to see how the overall battlefield is looking. Sephiroth sheathes his sword and heads off around the back of where the Moogle has already trampled through.

Zelda flew a little closer before letting her loftwing hover in the air. It's really easy for her to dodge atop the quickbird but she worried about the others. The loftwings long beak cawed loudly right after Zelda shouted her friends name.
"Are you alright? I'm going to head higher and see if I can see anything more."
She also wanted to check on the other groups and see who needed reinforcements. They also had the matter of Cloud to think of and Zelda was getting increasingly worried about the hero who currently seemed possessed, no doubt by the black crystal. Then she wondered where those moogles went.

But before he could strike Jade, the airship caught his attention, saving Jade and Ashe from further attacks, for now.

Seeing the King's attention taken by Ales' ship, Ashelia took only a moment to look down at Jade and Sephiroth to make sure they weren't crushed before zooming off to help the Teensie prepare for the coming assault. She was no longer a Red Mage, after all - she couldn't heal them if she wanted to.

No, not just yet. It would be no good if the Moogle took out the airship. If Jade had to stay in harm's way to prevent that, so be it. Decision made, he used the moment of distraction to change his position, running out of the alleyway and behind the Moogle, where it at least couldn't retaliate quickly. Just close enough for his magic to reach.
Time to finish what he'd started. After using Focus to enhance the intensity of his spells, Jade cast another Firaga on one of the half-melted feet.

But at least, Jade made it out alive of this fight.
