Where: Aqures Ixen (Old Observatory, others).
When: Night from the 31st of October to the 01st of November.
Summary: Midnight is approaching, ghosts are everywhere and clouds are slowly gathering above the old observatory... What does it all mean? This post is open to all characters, there are no sign-ups for this.
Warning: The destructor has come.

[Johnny's other Job at the moment is Monk, so he casts Boost on himself in order to double the power of his attack. This was clearly hurting it, and they still had some time before needing to make a break for it. Johnny managed to hold on, trying not to look too scared that this was going to get himself and these people killed.]

Yeah! Suck on that, asshole! Keep it up if ya can, guys. If we gotta break to avoid gettin' stepped on, everyone run a different way!

[That was close. The loud KUPO had nearly caused Sephiroth to flinch his grip on the Particle Thrower but he caught the shudder through his arms in the split second before he otherwise would have let go. Gritting his teeth, glad for the fact there wasn't anyone else near to him on this rooftop for the growl of a noise that he uttered.

No. Concentrate

The reverberation from the continued crossing of the streams though, had already started to make him lose sensation in his hands; a numbness like electricity starting to burn up his forearms. He finds he needs to stare attentively at the handset just to iron-will himself not to let go. Sephiroth makes himself flex his grip -it's almost painful to do so- and tenses up even more of his body; imagining a deep root rushing down through him into the ground and refusing to budge.

It's turned towards where the other four streams are though...Sephiroth is aware but his concentration is all on holding his stream. He hopes they're smart enough to spread out; even if King Moggle isn't walking anymore, his overall size can't make for easy turning even in mid-air surely.]

[And as promised, the Moogle attacked. His staff glowed with purple energy from the black crystal, and he swung it at the level of the three Heroes of Light working together. The staff was enormous enough that if they were hit, they would be sent flying away only to smash into a wall. Being separate from the group, Sephiroth was spared the attack.

Yet, the attack seemed to work as it looked nearly as though the Moogle King was melting now-- If they could hold one more turn, then maybe...]

[D silently cursed seeing the staff come swinging down. His thighs bunched and coiled then he jumped just as the staff hit where he was standing. Without the Dragoon Job D wasn't as nimble but thankfully, his experience as a dhampir and hunter made up the lack.

Landing, the vampire still retained the Proton Beam but his legs shook. His lungs, for whatever reason, burned and he felt sweat pour into his eyes.

Damn, this beast just needs to make faster.

D want sure how much longer he could keep his body standing, but his father couldn't kill him. It would be a great insult if this fluff monster did. He bit down on his lip further to draw more blood and more life.

He would die standing if it came to it.]

[K'pandolu dives to get out of range as soon as she sees the swing coming, cursing. She doesn't quite make it, the swing sending her further and sending her down for a few moments before she can recover. As soon as she is recovered, though, she's up again, snarling as she aims the particle thrower once more. If she can just hold on-

No. She will. There's no other way she'll have it, whatever else the King tries to throw at them.]

[Johnny is also not as lucky to dodge, but his Monk abilities at least give him the chance to roll with the hit and recover fast, injuries be damned. As soon as possible, he has his stream recentered with the others on the moogle.]

Almost there! Keep it up!
