Summary: The Night of the Thirteen Moogles is here at last! Will the undead hordes triumph and bring about the evil reign of King Moggle Mog? Or will the Ghostbusters reiterate their success from last year and definitely put to rest the evil King and his loyal Moogles?

[ This thread is dedicated to the second of the three Moogle plans. It is discreet and if there are no Heroes of Light in this location it will succeed.]

[There's a cackle as Sonic makes his way to Palitutu's Laboratory. This was easy. Too easy! Things would go so fast that he'll go in and get what he needs before anyone realizes what's going on!

Of course, the fact that there's a hedgehog heading for the laboratory when said hedgehog rarely has any reason to go there is probably a little... odd.]

[She'd promised to stay out of harm's way, but the moment she saw Sonic approach the entrance, Lucrecia looked to Orpheus with a nod. She quickly exits the door, blocking his path with herself.]

Oh! It's not every day I see you around here.

[Play it cool, play it cool, buy some extra time...]

[No! Nononono! There wasn't supposed to be anyone here! Panic! Worry! Play it cool...!]

Y-yeah, well, something big going down and I need to get to... something really fast!

[She'll totally buy it!]

Oh?

[Jade had been keeping watch inside the lab. As soon as he hears voices outside, he Vanishes and reappears a little ways behind Sonic. He doesn't have proof the blue hedgehog is guilty of anything, but today of all days calls for some healthy paranoia.]

Dear me, I'm afraid we can't possibly lower the security at a time like this. What would this "something" be, I wonder?

Oh, well... eheheh, you know... something!

[No, no, no! "Sonic" was starting to panic. He was caught. There was no way he could fight them off - why did he take over someone without getting them to change their jobs?!]

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll need to go get it lickety-split!

[Going to push by them now!]

[She was about to say something when Jade suddenly appeared behind Sonic. She blinked, a little surprised, but seemed at least a little relieved that she wasn't the only one who was.]

I was just about to ask the same, Mr. Curtiss. I'm afraid someth- ahh! [Lucrecia, as she was blocking the door with her body, is thus pushed into the door as it starts to open behind her back. She tries to grasp at the door frame behind her to steady herself, and to keep the way barred for the strange-behaving hedgehog.] I-I'm afraid we can't just let you in here!

[Jade, please help before she ends up bowled over via poor stamina and physical strength being met by sheer speed.]

[It took Vincent longer to get there than he wanted, after Orpheus had found him. Briefly regretting that he'd swapped out his Ninja job for Red-Mage now. As often as he'd prowled the city though, he was grateful now as he headed for the Lab at all speed he could.

Hopefully arriving in time, moving to help flank the Hedgehog and firearm drawn. Focusing though, casting Thunder in warning as close to in front of the blue Hero as he could. A warning--confirmed by his following words.]

Stop. Now.

No! Nonononono! Happening too fast! Stop, you must stop! I must get through-kupo!

[He quickly covers his mouth. Cover blown now!]

[If there is any other time Sonic needs a good defense, it is now. Something to make him less suspicious. Something that won't antagonize him any further.

The small, blue Hero draped in torn black robes lumbering down the hall isn't doing it.

The zombie Ales drags a metal pipe behind him, scratching the newly-polish floors with a grating noise.]

[Jade's about to advance on Sonic when he catches sight of movement in the hall behind Lucrecia. Although he can't see Ales well from where he's standing, the scraping noise is unnatural enough to make alarms go off in his head.]

Dr. Crescent, behind you!

[If Sonic's cover wasn't blown by the time he said "kupo", it certainly was when she heard the scraping of metal against newly polished floors. Glancing behind her, she lets go of the door frame with her right in order to cast Protect.]

A-Ales?!

[It was hard not to notice how rough a state he looked in, and hopes she was wrong are dashed as he gets closer. By Bahamut, they'd gotten him, too?]

[Too many things happening at once, Vincent's attention flicking from the hedgehog to Jade to Lucrecia. Sonic'll have to wait, as he's not the more immediate threat, and Ribbon protects Vincent from all but Death.

First Priority... Focusing, casting Cura on the small blue-and-black figure he could just make out behind Lucrecia. It should do some damage, and Vincent trusts Jade to be smart about all of this too.

Second priority then...]

Away from the door Lucrecia!

[Called loud enough to be heard and the warning clear. Burst shot aimed at the door. Possibly overkill, and it means they'll have to deal with Sonic and keep him out of there some other way, but the gunslinger's priority is Lu's safety clearly. And a zombie in the same area as she is means he is focusing on speed.]

[The moment he calls her name, she moves out of the way. She wasn't one to second guess when he warned anyone; not anymore. It was all a part of having a background like they did.

Hopefully Jade could Vanish in the way, because she certainly wasn't barring Sonic's path any longer.]

[The large shot strikes the side of Ales' head, knocking off his hat and wig. He drops the pipe with a clatter, but after some stumbling, his head pulls back to the front. Despite the injury, he doesn't appear to change his expression.

He does pick up the pace, and the pattering of small feet warns Lucrecia of how close he is getting.]

[Trusting Vincent to keep Ales occupied, Jade does indeed Vanish into the lab. There are a number of things someone could want to steal in there, but only one stands out as something Sonic would know about. He was present when it was found, after all.

The secret laboratory... and the WEAPON pieces within. Jade doesn't even want to know what the hedgehog intends to do with them, but Tear's vision from long ago is setting off alarms in his head. A giant monster made of mismatched pieces, looming over a castle...

This can't be allowed to happen.]
