Ashelia stepped forward. "Honored Sage, if I may - the nature of the Calamity would seem to be less black and white than we previously thought." The Queen looked around at the gathered Heroes, her jaw set in its way. "And Kalki...her motivations are not necessarily to oppose us. She works to complete the will of the Heroes of Light - she was once one of our number, in the previous cycle. Her methods are questionable at best and abominable at worst, and she is of the Calamity, but only in so much as all of us are."

She sighed, shaking her head slightly. "Those statues - those Heroes worked with her in the previous cycle to preserve our hope, that we may continue the fight, perhaps even end it." She looked at the Sage. "Is that not so?"
