[The trip itself will be nothing but a pleasant cruise—Nothing out of usual is going to happen and the characters can chose to either sleep, walk or eat in the cafeteria to kill time until they finally arrive. The only noticeable things really are a light bump as the ship crosses the barrier cutting the Continent of Ruins from the rest of the world, and Cid being pleasant and in a good mood for one.

Of course, there's always some sort of party pooper. And Deadpool is just that. For all of the wrong reasons.

"We're not in space! There's no warp drive! Where's Scotty? Chekov? Sulu? Riker? Crusher - the hot doctor, not the whiny brat -? The Reading Rainbow guy? I'll even take Chris Pine! WHO COULD LIVE ON SUCH A SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM?!"

"Move it along, folks, show's over." Deadmoog replied, shooing people away. "Got it out of your system?"

"No, I still got a list of other complaints, but I can wait until the return trip!" Deadpool said.

Event || Welcoming Committee

When the Enterprise spotted a city and civilization, Cid took the decision to have the ship land by the city's outskirt, in the Excavation Site. And apparently, the Heroes of Light were expected. There was quite the welcoming committee waiting for them by the city's gates, and it was obvious everyone in the city looked up at the Airship as they saw it passing. In particular, a group composed of two Primal Moogles, a Bangaa and an Elezen stood at the front of the welcoming committee. They stared at the Airship and tried to see the Heroes of Light who were descending from it.

"Hmm, their ears are rounded…"

The Elezen raised an eyebrow upon observing this, but the Bangaa was the one looking quite intrigued as he stared at the Moogles accompanying the now approaching Heroes of Light.

"And what are these flying balls? They look like Moogle plushies."

"What?" The primal moogle clothed with a blue dress turned and stared at the Bangaa, as if he had said something incredibly offensive. "I'll have you know we look nothing like that, Kupo!"

And of course, the Bangaa shrugged. "I say there is a family air. Look at the pom-pom hanging from their heads."

"H-How dare you, Kupo! Our pom-pom is by far fluffier and more elegant than theirs! It doesn't even deserve to be called a pom-pom, Kupo!"

The Elezen facepalmed, shook his head and waved at the arguing moogle and bangaa, ordering them to stop.

"Silence. They're coming."

As Vaan descended from the ship, he was actually surprised by the people waiting for them. Was word sent out prior? Vaan never really paid attention to these sort of things. Although, he was a bit more surprised and who he saw. Bangaa and moogles straight from Ivalice? He walked over to them, looking down at the moogle and up at the Bangaa, a bit more wary of the latter given his experiences with them.

"You guys look like people from Ivalice," He said, Montblanc flew by his shoulder and tugged his hair. "You should introduce yourself first, kupo."

"Ah, right. I'm Vaan."

A. ALL THE DISTRICTS - doing all the things

[Utterly undaunted by the stares or foreign races of the locals, Ven's one of the first to take off into the city, and he does so with enthusiasm. He's quick to strike up a conversation with anybody willing, so you might find him happily chatting with any number of civilians at any time. He's returned to toting his Keyblade on his back like before; even if he's comfortable enough in Aqures Ixen to leave it at home most of time, he's not taking any chances in an unknown place like this.

Otherwise he's admiring the shops (usually from the outside) or stopping to try food at a stall, and while he moves between the different sections of the city, he ends up dwelling in the Bangaa Sector more than anywhere else. It's bustling with life and activity, which he can appreciate, and his manners and easygoing nature win over most of the Bangaa who spare a moment to talk to him.

Mograe can be seen with Ven just as often as she isn't, sometimes riding on his shoulder for company as well as warmth, at others taking the time to look into things on her own.]


B. Gaming Central - excuse me whaaat

[Ven's not entirely a stranger to the concept of TVs, radios, and other electricity-based technology; he's read about them before, encountered a couple variations after running away from home, and then there was the mishap with Palitutu's computer, so it's not like these things blow his mind or anything.

Although today comes pretty close.

He doesn't mean to spend the rest of the day in this area, but considering the number of things to see and try and learn? Time gets away from him pretty fast. The blocky-looking, 2D games are interesting and pretty challenging (UltimaMan, Ghost Knights 'n Goblin Guards, and other strange names) -- and the shooters (Call of Honor, Warfront) are intense and fun to play in teams, but not really his thing. There's something called Local Malevolence that looks pretty creepy, but eehh (plus he's too young to play, going by the rating on the sign).

The one he takes to and undeniably becomes hooked on, however, is the colorful mess that the locals have dubbed Dance Dance Revelations. Weird name, sure, but when the aim of the game is to move and step according to a blend of music and on-screen cues? He is all over that. And that's where he spends a good deal of his time, eventually drawing a small crowd when he keeps at it -- and, of course, soon starts adding his own showy spin on it, because if you gotta dance, you gotta dance. His black coat's set aside along with his weapon, too warm and cumbersome to keep wearing during what's basically turned into a workout.

Talk to him? Challenge him? Catch him at one of the other games? Kick his butt at something because he's a noob?]


C. Adventurers' End

[In the evening, the day's caught up with him and even Ven's seemingly endless source of energy is starting to fail him. He's secured a table at the inn and ordered himself a hot drink -- half of which is still remaining, as he's fallen asleep with his head on his crossed arms.

Rae sits in the chair across from him atop her bag, sipping her own tea and flipping through a book on Mysidian history; but she's mostly sticking around to make sure no one robs the poor kid in his sleep or anything. With his Keyblade currently propped against the side of his chair, that gesture is plenty appreciated on Ven's end of things. Or will be, once he wakes up.]

[It's been tiring, looking around a whole city for the day. Robin's glad to be done with it, though; it's fascinating to see it, to know she can look at all of these books, and learn all of these new things. A new part of the world has opened up!]

[But she's ready for dinner. She walks up to Ventus when she sees him, then she waves. Her order for a mug of ale and a plate of hot food's been placed.]

Ventus! You came, too?

Wandering the City, Open!

[From one foreign city to another. That seems to be her lot in life the past few weeks, as she's flown from place to place on many different errands. Were she not already accustomed to traveling great distances on foot, she would be sporting blisters the size of eggs.]

[But she can put on a friendly face. Ellie walks with her hands loosely clasped behind her back, smiling as if she has hardly a care in the world. The Bangaa, in particular, capture her attention. They appear to be strong and fierce, qualities she's always admired and appreciated.]

[She wonders if they have chocobos here. If not, connecting them with the merchants in Aerilon may prove to be lucrative.]

[The city seems peaceful, but crime exists everywhere. As she walks, she listens closely for signs of trouble or upset, even straying near dark alleyways herself on a couple of occasions just to see if anything grabs her attention in every sense of the word.]

[OOC: Other starters are fine too. She'll definitely take an interest in the pub if you want to hang out there.]

[Tazendra hadn't intended on starting trouble. Really, she hadn't. But now she was in a rather loud argument with a Bangaa that she wasn't sure how to settle without issuing a challenge... and Tazendra was pretty sure dueling was illegal here, and was not (yet)_ annoyed enough to have forgotten that fact.]

[Though by the way her hand kept straying to her sword hilt, that might be close.]

{The Bangaa had noticed Elle approach, and muttered something about bringing her friends in when she couldn't settle things on her own.]

[When the expedition to the Continent of Ruin was first announced, Chiaki had signed on, all full of good intent and hoping to find something that might be useful to the Heroes of Light in their continued struggle against the Calamity, Kalki, and Palitutu. She'd even volunteered to help Ace with mapping the area.

Unfortunately, the very moment she saw the words 'Gaming Central' lit up like Christmas in a certain district of the city, all of those plans went completely out the window. She has a few games on her Ancient computer and one or two she programmed herself, but nothing like this. This place is a gamer's paradise.

Anyone wandering through the area at nearly any time during the expedition will see Chiaki practically glued to one game or another. She's been suffering so much gaming withdrawal since coming here, so she's playing everything she can get her hands on. She even falls asleep at the controls sometimes for an impromptu nap.

If her friends among the Heroes of Light want her to come home with the rest of them - or indeed, to contribute anything of value ever again - someone might want to come and tear her away from these fine digital amusements.]

[Yuffie likes games as much as the next person but she's been to Gold Saucer and this place just seems like a better version of that. It's probably nothing crazy amazing but maybe with Chiaki there she can see through her friends eyes.]

Elezen District

[The first place Levy ends up once they're free to explore the city is the Elezen District. It's full of shops selling various magical trinkets and devices, and it's exactly the kind of thing she's been thinking about learning how to do herself. She can be found taking notes on what she finds, chatting with the locals, and window shopping as she makes her way through the district.]

This place kind of reminds me of home. I wonder if I could make something like this.

Magitek Research

This city is incredible!

[Levy's having the time of her life. She's just gotten done marveling at the magical wonders in the Elezen District, only to wander right into an entire section of town dedicated to magical research. There are stars in her eyes as she wanders through the streets, looking at the schools, universities, and research facilities that line the streets.]

I almost wish I had time to enroll at one of these schools...

Central Plaza

[Although she's definitely interested in everything she can learn while here, all work and no play makes Levy a dull girl. So once she's done looking around the Elezen District, she makes her way to the various clothing shops in the Central Plaza. Levy's always had a healthy appreciation for good fashion, after all, and she hasn't spent her money on much else lately.

A) Magitek Research

[Twilight couldn't help but take notice of what was going on in this area. Such a bustling area filled with research and development. It looked so much more than what they had back in Ixen.]

Wow, look at all of this! Everything here looks so... wonderful! Oh, I wish I could stay here and look everything over! This could help so many people!

B)Central Plaza

[Twilight certainly saw the various figures look at her curiously. A pony? Ordering a meal? ...what was a pony anyway? It had wings - could she fly?

Though, there was one notable thing - when she ate, she chowed down.]

Oh, wow, these meals are wonderful! I can't believe this!

[She spots the pony eating and decides to come and say hello. This new area is wonderful and Zelda's a little excited that there are those here who have ears like her own.]

[She makes a point to learn of all the heroes and the rumors of Twilight that the moogles were spreading make the pony unmistakable. She's loved her conversation with Shining armor and she wonders if this is the sister he's spoke about.]

[Billy made his way to the new city's temple. He was still trying to piece together what they believed, and he figured that was the best place to start.

He studied the murals of various eidolons on the walls. Maybe they were like this world's Gears, larger than life figures of great power that only few could wield. It made more sense to him, thinking of it like that.

He found a quiet corner where he could kneel and pray. He wasn't sure to whom he prayed, but he figured if anyone was listening, they would not be offended by someone seeking answers.]

[The last person one might probably want to see is coming in to have a look around. her personalty seemed a little more serious than it was usually at home, but Minako was doing that in respect more anything, which was rather hard when the person you do not like is here as well.]

[Zelda doesn't know where to start, her eyes are wide as they brush over the city and take in every little detail of the grand metropolis. She isn't planning to stay in the city long so she makes a point she quickly do what she came to do.

Her feet lightly tap against the ground as she finds a place next to the fountain. Her bright sky blue eyes lock on the figures standing in the middle of the fountain. Her thin fingers rise to her pointed ears and she feels a slight smile tug at her lips.]

It's amazing.

ELEZEN DISTRICT
[She looks at the shops and the magical items with awe. She feels like a young girl again. Kopula isn't with her and she regrets that the little moogle has missed this chance only to stay home and continue the work to be done in her stead.

Her long golden hair falls in a curtain behind her back while the chilling wind tugging at her loose tresses. This world is so peaceful, its almost a shame that it might be disrupted. She hopes to keep the delicate peace here.

Zelda looks over the magical items pointing at one of the items curiously.]

MAGITEK RESEARCH

[Zelda watches the research area curiously. She wonders what the research might be yielding but she doesn't know if she should ask. She's used to things being very secretive and people not wanting to share their discovery.

Her nervousness is obvious by the way her finger tips lightly press to her lips.]

It really is. I wonder how long it took them to make.

[Kobato was already standing there and had been for a good five minutes. Looking over slightly she smiled at the other.]

I wish I could do something like that, but maybe someday. What about you? What do you think is amazing about it?

[Johnny is going to do what he knows best - play some music. He's brought along his guitar to play some songs. Consider it his only diplomatic measure. He'll be playing both songs from his home, with a few from both Exsilium and Aqures Ixen in just for good measure. He's curious to see if the locals will recognize any of the latter.

While he's in between tunes, he'll talk with the residents of the city, or any Heroes who've stopped by.]

[Johnny is stunned by the fact that this world has video games. Stunned AND thrilled. He's going to be playing as much as a broke guy from off continent is allowed, and he's going to love every minute of it.]

Can you friggin' believe this? The rest of the world's been holding on us! There's hope for this planet yet.


[Adventurer's End]
[Of course he hits up the pub at the end of the day, talking with adventurers of this continent about places to visit and explore. He's been leaving out his mention of being a Hero of Light, but he does get a lot of questions about the people where he's from due to how he looks. It's starting to get hard to come up with excuses, so he'll look for anyone around he knows to use them as an out, waving at you to stop as he trots over.]

[Yuffie takes a seat next to him with a bright shiny apple clamped between her fingers. she tosses it into the air and then skillfully catches it while he plays. It's only when he's finished that she takes a bite, the juices running down her chin as she munches on the tasty morsel. The whole time her eyes stay fixed on Johnny as if trying to make her mind up about something.]

So are you gay too?

[She's completely serious about this considering how he and Reno go at it but then Manami had mentioned him too so maybe he's into guys. Yuffie hasn't talked to him in depth but taking a closer look he is pretty cute.

She really wants to poke his horns and as she continues to stare she considers the action.]

Terra || Open || Anytime

AROUND

[Terra looks around as if the world is new. She isn't the sort to want to set out on an adventure but with a friendly push she's found herself in a new place. She walks around a little aimlessly letting her gaze flick over the streets, the people and the atmosphere of the peaceful town.

It's nice.

Her mint green curls sway in the cold wind and, per Tempest's request, she has a warm winter coat pulled snugly over her shoulders. Her moogle is watching over the flower shop giving Terra a chance to visit this place. Part of her stops today include other flower stores hoping to buy seeds as well as a quick trip right outside of town to see what flowers she can find on this new continent.]

PYRAMID OF PRAYERS

[This isn't a place she thought she'd visit but there is always a chance for her questions to be answered. She knows about her lineage and it's connection with the planet. She doesn't feel it here but many she can talk to those who do. Those who share a similar connection that her father did.

She isn't a summon like those here. She's an Esper, half Esper anyway, but she wants to know more. Even if this is a different world there should still be ways to learn more. Somehow these worlds are connected.

Terra stops next to a wall, lightly placing her palm her the pillar and then closing her eyes. Please. She begs silently to any that will listen. Please hear my prayer

With her eyes close she continues her thoughts, reaching them out towards the temple around her.

I'm human here but... I want to know what I am and if I am human here, what's happened to by father and the Esper blood inside of me?

After being answered by silence she opens her eyes and then continues to think about her past in the peaceful tranquility of the temple.]

[Kobato simply wondered around, looking rather amazed at the place she had found herself in. Exploring places was simply amazing and it helped her learn more and more about the world and what it was like.

It made her more determined to help out the best she could. Taking a few steps further she was quick to notice someone.]

MAGITEK RESEARCH

[Yuna hasn’t really studied since her training as a summoner and even that hadn’t been very in-depth considering the scarcity of books in Spira. She reads from time to time now, mostly due to Levy’s influence but it is experiments and technology that draws her attention and focus. She’s helping in the lab as a part-time assistant and since then has learned a lot but there always seems to be more.

What secrets are here?

She looks over at two people talking about some ancient device that has been found at the excavation site.]

It’d be amazing to see what they found.

[Celes is floating next to her so it doesn’t look like Yuna’s talking to herself however it doesn’t look like she’s talking to the floating moogle either. Even so he responses with pout as if his overall displeasure must be repeated.]

There is no Blitbzball, kupo.

EXCAVATION SITE

[Yuna slowly makes her way out of town. Along the way she finds the guards sleeping at their post. Obviously it must be safe to go further though the sphere hunter is still warry of monsters. Celes is back in the city, he’d asked Yuna to summon him if he’s needed otherwise he’ll be seeking out the other moogles who live here.

She steps through the ruins noting those who have been digging and exploring the ancient city. It’s truly beautiful and she’s reminded of the many ruins found all over Spira. Cultures and memories of the lost should be found and she finds it interesting as she walks deeper into the site.

Yuna wonders if they can explore too.]

GAMING CENTRAL

[When she finds the gaming area there is a smile playing across her lips. She wonders if Minato is around because they’d probably have a way to charge his music here. She looks around at the games wondering what they might have or how to play. She’s heard about a lot of different types of games but this is the first time seeing them.

It’s a little over whelming.

She doesn’t even know where to start.]

[Minako spots her co-player and fellow friend as she rush on over, quickly managing to grab the others arm before she even had a chance to speak.]

Umiko | OPEN

EVERYWHERE

[It isn’t hard to spot the bright glint of orange hair among the crowd or the moogle floating by her side. Umiko has a wide range of tools and reading equipment with her while Rudder has other implements strapped around his fuzzy body. For a cartographer this place is a dream come true. She knows she’ll have to return to Aqures but she wishes that she and Rudder could just move across the sea to this town. It isn’t perfect, no place is, but it’s an adventure.]

Rudder! Look.

[Umiko points her finger out at one of the shops with a wide grin. There is no communication, that she knows of, between here and the other continent and yet some things are very similar to what she knows. Rudder just stares as if knowing Umiko’s thoughts and not needing to add his own.]

MOGSHOP UNION

[This is what Rudder has been most curious about. He’s left Umiko to finish gathering data on the city and headed towards the Mogshop alone. He’s floating carefully and silently among the crowd however he sticks out considering every other moogle is walking along the ground.

His wings flutter slowly as he stops in and listens to the rumors floating around, as well as the talks of strikes, there is a soft laugh from the moogles lips.

Somethings never change.]

ADVENTURERS END

[Towards the end of the day Umiko is sitting at a table with her tools and notes spread out over the surface. She’s made no secret that she’s drawing a map of this city and she was even able to find a few maps drawn by the local populace; including a weather map which she’s going to keep for her own records.

This seems like a perfect place to work with people from all over coming and going as they see fit.

There is a beer next to her, the condensation from the glass drips down the cooled edge while Rudder has his nose firmly placed in a book he found at the Mogshop. Small tendrils of orange hair fall in front of her sight and Umiko swiftly pushes them back behind her ear while her other hand pulls her pencil across the parchment.

She looks like she’s focused at work but she wouldn’t say no to visitors or a break.]

Adventurers End

[Looking around the area, Shining noticed Umeko there. Hmm, that's one of their comrades. He should probably say hello.

Waving at her, he trotted up with Dice in tow who was toting a beer and pretzel as big as he was.] Hey, can I sit here with you?

A) Excavation Site

Sonic's adventurous side had gotten the better of him. Once the airship had landed, the hedgehog took off in a flash, making his way across town, stopping once he reached the Excavation Site. Plenty of people working here, taking up various discovered artifacts, though, he was more interested in what laid beyond there.

And there were a few that had an interest in him, unbeknown to him.

B) Gaming District

One wouldn't think Sonic would opt to check this place out, but he did, curious to see what they got. In his various pokings, he would pass by you, pointing towards one machine.

"Hey, there's a neat little game over there. Run real fast, hit loops, collect rings. Didn't think something like that would get big!"

The knowing grin is saying he probably knows more than he should.

The gaming district was full of lights and sounds, and like others, Meteor had been drawn towards it.

Looking around, he examined the game stations there when he noticed Sonic talking to him. "Oh? A game that has a fast character?"

Jade Curtiss | Open

Excavation site

The city had been interesting enough, the Magitek research district doubly so -- but it wasn't until he passed through the city gates and caught sight of what lay beyond that Jade's eyes lit up. Ruins of the Ancients, as far as the eye could see... And to think just yesterday they had barely had any straws left to grasp at. Now, there was a continent's worth of knowledge waiting to be found.

The scientist in him was very happy indeed.

Jade wasted no time gawking and quickly sought out the locals working at the site. A few were kind enough to indulge him and answer questions. The layout of the ruins, what types of monsters to expect, what tools were commonly needed; ideas were already starting to form in his head.

There was too little time to organize an expedition now, but Jade could be found on the outskirts of the ruins, looking around the area where the nearest of the ancient buildings stood and stopping occasionally to chat with people going in or out.

There just wasn't enough time.

Sephiroth had spent the majority of the expedition scoping out the various locations within Mysidia, learning some of the lore of the locals and keeping all attention open for those details that he'd compile in a report back to his superiors at Esdham. The political environment. The features of the civilization here. Their somewhat relaxed attitude towards security and law enforcement. From what he'd learned, Mysidia was turning out to be the epitome of what life in the rest of the known world could be.

An uncomfortable ghost of an idea: The Promised Land.

The idea of the sort of mass-destruction that Aqures had gone through, the struggles at Esdham on the frontier previously, the carnage at Aqures Tosf, all seemed as from another world entirely in this peaceful setting.

"I wondered if I might find you out this way." Not that he'd been looking for Jade, specifically -not at all in fact- but the Ancient ruins that extended out from the outskirts of the City simply begged to at least be accounted for. If a full exploration of the excavation site and the ruins beyond simply had to be the brief for a future assignment here.

"Impossible to think," Sephiroth came to a stop just a few paces behind Jade, his silver head -scraped all back in a semi-high tail, only bangs framing his face- tilted to one side as he looked over his fellow-Major. "That all of those answers that until now have found us nothing but wanting more, could be out there right now."

"N-No, no, I'm sorry, I couldn't part with this!"

Ruby had been wandering around the town since her arrival, enjoying the sights and the food. Mostly the food. Mostly the sweets. Ruby was like a little kid again, spotting all of the various video games, squeeing for joy as she ran around, poking and prodding the games before finally settling down long enough to actually play one.

Meteor had decided to come back to the gaming center and he had been watching this game where people were singing into a microphone.

Before he knew it, he was standing too close and the microphone was passed over to him. "Um... all right?"

Going through the songs, some of them seemed... familiar. Then he noticed one that was named "Metal" and he paused. "Couldn't be..."

Sure enough the song was what he thought and he laughed before starting in.

Central Plaza

[The plaza is one of the first places K'pandolu is drawn to, coming to look at the fountain. The shape of an Elezen she recognises, of course, and the Moogle isn't so dissimilar- but the Bangaa and Shumi are still a little odd to her eyes. It's not a bad place to stop and watch people, too, though after a little while she moves to one of the cafes, the better to look slightly less out of place, though there's little she can do about her looks as a miqo'te and she's not that inclined to do much about her puppet, should anyone have any ideas- and also to see what the food in Mysidia is like, of course.]

Elezen District

[This… is probably as close to home as K'pandolu's going to get, for the time being. Certainly, there are a lot of Hyur in Eorzea- but it does feel better to know there are more races in this world. And she wants a look at the kind of magical artefacts they put together here.

Only- there's a familiar shape up ahead, the colours not quite right but almost. Tall, browner skin, reddish hair- Someone she knows-

I… [K'pandolu falters, taking half a step back.] No, I… I suppose not. I… Are there workshops open to the public?

[The Elezen still gives her a suspicious look, but she nods, and indicates a direction.] There's an open workshop over that way.

My thanks. [K'pandolu moves on, one ear twitched back to catch any sounds before she sags against a wall for a moment.] Another? Why… How many more can there be?

[but, after a few moments, she makes her way to see what she can.]

Pyramid of Prayers

[The structure that is the centre of the city's government had hardly have escaped K'pandolu's notice, and in time she goes to investigate. She doubts the governors will be particularly ready to open their doors and answer the questions of a bunch of strangers, but for the time being there are the murals are the teachings on summonings.

What she's going to do with the information in the end is something she's still working on, but for now what she's looking for is what makes an Eidolon an Eidolon- what brings one forth and gives them form, what makes them a protector- essentially, what makes them different from a primal- and why they seem to bear the same names as the summons of Eorzea. With that in mind, she stops to consider the murals of summons- particularly those of the ones she's encountered in Eorzea.]

[And of course, there are the Ruins. K'pandolu's less sure as to what she's looking for out here, but if they truly belonged to the Ancients of this world, there's bound to be some kind of curiosities out there. She can at least see what she can find for a day.

She pats her puppet on the head, picking her way through the ruins as she heads for the closest structure.]

[Before Saori decided to delve into the shopping areas, it seemed only fair to get a better grip of her surroundings. There's no better way to do that when you're an Assassin. Free-running brought about a new rush that made the city her newest playground of sorts. She even had the guts to pick out the tallest points in the plaza before she performed the good old leap of faith into a rather conveniently placed cart of hay and walked away without injury.

If she's not running on rooftops, she can be seen trying out the different foods the city has to offer, looking around or asking for the nearest bookshops, or just cruising along the streets with Brigid floating nearby.]

Gaming District
[Now here's a game she didn't expect to see. It was an oldie but a goodie back in her home world. Soon enough, shapes made out of 4 blocks began to slowly descend from the top of the screen. Even she's not immune to humming its infamous song as she continues to build up and clear rows of the squares.

After a few rounds of that, she decided to take a look around and stumbled upon another game. It was brightly colored and the player characters seemed to be able morph between a humanoid and cute super deformed krakens. Were they squids or were they kids? Either way, Saori was quick to pick up on the basics of inking the most territory and stealth swimming through the ink to deny the rival team from making any progress. There were other machines with the same game open. Dare to get your ink on?]

[Here comes a new challenger! There's a drop in booth and Shining Armor was able to work with the controls with his hooves. Grinning over at Saori, he plopped in his gil.

[It didn't take a lot of effort to recognise the similarities of this locale to the one they knew in Aqueres Ixen, even with the different peoples and technology surrounding them. While others were busying themselves with the various shops and restaurants, Tear's focus is on the fountain she stood in front of.

Though she wasn't entirely aware of it, there was the faintest hint of a smile on her lips as she gazed upon the statue, even as she kept a sharp ear out for any information that floats her way from passerby or anyone who approached her.]

[Eventually she finds her way to the back of the city, Sein floating behind her silently as he, too, took in the murals of the eidolons decorating the temple. While she currently held no capacity to even try and summon such beings, it wasn't going to stop her from respecting and wanting to know more about them.

Soon she found herself closing her eyes, allowing the tranquility of the temple to take her into its embrace. Though she wasn't quite praying, Tear felt as though she longed for the guidance so many who visited here sought. It was perhaps necessary to, after she had seen as far into the lands surrounding the city as she could from the pyramid's elevated position.]

[Tear had no doubts that she wasn't the first Hero to come to the site, given the undeniable value of what it held upon laying eyes on it. Now was not the time to simply stand and marvel at the sights, she could do that while simultaneously gathering what information she could from the people working there and carefully penning it all down, even going as far as drawing crude maps and landmarks with as much detail as she could manage.

After spending some time on the task, she seemingly heads back to the city—but her intent isn't to explore it further. If she had heard correctly, then there were more ruins to be explored to the north, though perhaps going on her own wouldn't be the best idea.]

[Tsubomi had been busy just taking in the sights of the plaza, trying to get her bearings straight with everything when she caught sight of Tear looking at the fountain and the statue that was there.

[Much like the other Heroes, upon hearing about an arcade, Cloud makes a quick walk to it, much to the chagrin of Mako who tries futilely to remind his Hero there are more important matters to deal with. Cloud doesn't actually disagree with him on that point, but man does he need to take a break.

Once inside the arcade, Cloud keeps himself busy moving from game to game with all the seriousness that he applied to his combat training. It doesn't matter how involved the game is or not, he puts as much energy into the clearly rigged rock paper scissors boxing game as he puts into the motorcycle combat game.

The one game he hesitates at is one that features a number of moogles on the sign, and even advertises itself as free to play. Something about it just makes him feel like he should avoid it.]

Magitek Research

[One of the first jobs Cloud gained in his time on Crystallis was Magitek Knight, but after he mastered its power he hasn't done much with it. He even has to admit a little jealousy that others have been able to get Magitek Armors of their own while he keeps missing his own chances for one reason or another.

He doesn't blame them. It's just that green pit in his stomach talking.

But maybe this facility would have something for him to use. Right now he's focusing on Dark Knight so that he can use the Buster Sword, but neglecting Magitek Knight entirely would be a bad idea. Maybe all it needs is an update of equipment?

He wanders around the area, trying not to get in the way or in trouble as he looks in on the classes and workshops to see if anything catches his eye.]

[As usual when investigating a new place, Mary opts to do so as James. While the world of Crystallis is fairly progressive compared to her own Earth, she feels a bit better using this mask to test the waters and see what she's dealing with.]

[On Bonnie's insistence, the pair stop at the local Mogshop so that her little companion can meet her foreign brethren. Kidd is a little surprised to learn that even in this land the Moogles have issues within their Union. It seems some things aren't actually that different.

Kidd hangs back, letting Bonnie happily chatter away with the Primal Moogles while trying to convince them that she can be a Hero too. ]

Adventurer's End

Kidd moves through the crowd, mingling and talking with the local adventurers. She looks into the guilds and shops, stopping for a drink at one inn or another. The rhythm of this city is a good one. It wouldn't be a bad place to open another Bureau if she had someone she could entrust it to.

Come to think of it. We probably need one in Aqures Ixen as well. [She mumbles to herself before rubbing the bridge of her nose in tired exasperation.]

What was I even thinking? I'm not even ready to run one back home...

Excavation Site

[Kidd skulks around the excavation site, watching the work being done. She doesn't suspect any foul work going on, but with her knowledge of the Pieces of Eden back home, never mind the devices that can be unearthed in this world she can't help but feel a little wary of what is being done.

And then there's the device she foolishly handed over to Palitutu. She curses softly. If she'd held onto it she might actually had been able to now know what it was.]

[Access to a new continent means access to new books, supplies, and any number of practical things that could be prove very useful. It also pays to check the prices of certain items, just to see how the line up with O'aka. And Alice focuses on those things first.

But that doesn't stop her from wistfully staring into the window of a clothing shop. On display is a frilly, feminine dress full of lace and bows. The sort of thing Lorina always wore. She's smiling, but there's a bittersweet edge to it. It's also not like Alice to just space out in the middle of a crowded street. Bother her?]

I'm starting to think moogles everywhere just don't like working. Or have a different idea of work than everyone else. Maybe this is just a cultural problem? Some sort of miscommunication? If the moogles from our land talk with these moogles, would they convince them into striking even more, or worse, vice versa!?

[Disappointing. That's Rukia's reaction when she leaves the building. The schools and universities are perhaps more likely to have the answers she's looking for, but the Magitek facility itself seems more focused on the technology of the Ancients -- a subject that Rukia has never been particularly well-versed in understanding. She's not even sure she'll be allowed into any of the schools, but perhaps if she asks? She does look young, due to her height, but apparently her round ears mark her prevalently as a Hero of Light, so there will be no subterfuge for her today.]

[That would probably be a bad move in any case.]

[She prowls along the streets, eyes scanning intently for anything resembling a library or bookstore. She means to find out everything she can about Narayana and how this ties to the manipulation of eidolons...namely, Hades. But if the others are behaving erratically as well, then that's a problem she needs to address.]

[Of course, this is about the time she slams into someone else, while her attention is directed to the shop signs instead of the street in front of her. Depending on the size and stability of the other person, she might even have been mowed down. But if not...]

[There are so many interesting wares! She kind of wishes she hadn't donated all of last month's ghost money to research, since there are a lot of things here she'd love to buy. An elemental weapon would be excellent, particularly if imbued with Holy since she'd seen how vital it had been in the previous month. But anything would do, just in case. What weapon, though? Daggers seem fairly universal, but she still feels strange handling them. Katanas are definitely out of her price range.]

'Something catch your eye, Miss?'

[Rukia looks up to see the friendly merchant, clasping his hands together deferentially.]

Ah, yes. I was looking for something that might help me better combat the undead. We dealt with many rogue spirits last month--

'Say no more! I've just the thing!'

[He winks, then reaches under the countertop to withdraw a small wooden box. The lid opens slowly, and Rukia stands on her toes with anticipation. Inside is... A pen??]

...I don't understand.

'It looks like an ordinary pen. But if you use it to scribe arcane wards on the floor and walls, it fills them with magic! Any spirit that comes within range of these wards will be weakened and cowed, making them ten times easier to conquer. Sometimes it will keep them out entirely!'

Really?!

'Really truly!'

[She didn't come with the intention of drinking, but it happened. Drinking was a sign of camaraderie, they'd said. Lift a glass in friendship, they'd said. Only half a shot?! What kind of Hero couldn't handle more than that, they'd said.]

[And so, Rukia Kuchiki succumbed to peer pressure, and became drunk off her shinigami ass. A quartet of bangaa warriors laugh uproariously, thumping the table in rowdy encouragement as she throws back another shot, and flings the glass to the floor.]

There. Have I satisfied your warrior's code?

'Baaaaaaahhhhhhhh ha ha ha ha ha!'
'Yer lookin' pretty tipsy, Hero!'
'We knew you were a lightweight.'

Silence! I am...!

[A hiccup interrupts Rukia's slurred tirade, and she looks surprised as if her body just betrayed her. Scowl. Then she continues.]

I am...a NOBLEwoman. A Kuuuuuuchiki. You will...you will show reshpect!

'Reshpect! I got plenty'a that, bah ha ha ha!'
'Can you buy 'reshpect' at the grocery store, Kuchiki?'

................Maybe.

[This produces another round of raucous laughter. Rough as the Bangaa might be, they seem to have accepted the drunken imperious behavior of their guest.]

'Hey, tell us more about the rabbits, Kuchiki.'
'Yeah, what were you going to do with them again?'

[Rukia's gaze swims over their reptilian faces, before she gets up out of her chair and plants her hands on the table.]

I'm gonna...gonna own them. A whole bunch of 'em. And we're gonna live on a farm with... [hic!] With chocobos. A rainbow of chocobos! And I'm gonna pet them all.

[By now she's climbed onto the table itself, holding up a fist of steely determination.]

[Reno feigned polite curiosity as he approached the stand, listening to the shopkeeper blather on about his "magical" pen. As he leaned over the stand to get a better look, he slung an arm around Rukia's shoulders.]

That's a helluva find, honey. But don't you think we should give it the test first? I mean, y'know I never put a price on th' safety of our kids, but...

[The smile on his lips didn't quite reach his eyes as he looked at the shopkeeper.]

Ashelia approached the pyramid cautiously and not without some reverence. One only had to look at the structure to know it was a place of great importance - spiritually, for certain, and if she had listened correctly, politically. It was apparently also where summoners trained, a pursuit Ashelia had some personal stock in.

The young Queen was walking on solid ground and, strangely enough, much taller than usual. Upon further inspection, one would realize that Ashelia had more or less taken on the form of an elezen, though she did still look remarkably like herself. Better to fit in at first, she thought, get the lay of the land. The coming of the Heroes seemed to be expected - a fact that didn't sit well with her at all. There was a chance that some here in Mysidia were privy to the same information Kalki and Palitutu were and would recognize Ashelia anyway, despite her disguise, but it was better than nothing.

Ashelia's breath caught in her throat when she entered the pyramid. She had been in many ancient places, seen much architecture and geography that ought not make any sense even to the trained eye, but never had she been in such a place. Anxious as she was to go and meet this Sage herself, she took the time to get her bearings and found herself distracted watching some summoners practice their abilities. She longed to join in, to show them her impressive abilities as a psychic, but resisted - such open displays of power were, in the end meaningless, and contrary to her aim.

And if Dr. Cid saw... The fact she even had to think of the doctor again after everything turned her stomach. "I killed him once," she murmured to herself, shaking her head. "I'll do it again..."

Sparks also wanted to meet with the Sage, since like most others, he had a lot of questions. In the meanwhile, it was time to do some sightseeing, so he went to wander around the Pyramid for awhile.

At first, he thought Ashelia looked familiar, but was definitely a local. Her disguise was pretty good, enough for her to slip by the seasoned lawman. But when she whispers those words to herself within earshot of him, he recognizes her voice. What she said was a little concerning, but he didn't have any context for it, at least.

Sparks cleared his throat from behind her to let her know she wasn't alone. And maybe because he was feeling slightly awkward now, too.

"Hey, good disguise. Almost didn't recognize ya there."
